Posada De Trapa

Wonderful experience! My friends and I weren't sure that we would go. We were really nervous and have no experience with horses or horseback riding. But somehow we managed to find the courage and call to make a reservation. Our guide assured us that they were fully prepared for beginners. When we arrived he gave us a short tutorial on how to give directions to the horses, made sure we felt confident, supplied us with safety equipment and then led us out of the ranch and into the world. We followed a trail through the local town and then along the river. I was more than a little nervous at the start but with calm directions, encouragement, and a great example, I started to relax into the experience. I wasn't confident enough to try trotting but a friend of mine was and got some separate instruction and some room to practice. Overall, an amazing day. Watching the sun set over cantabria from horseback was something that I won't soon forget. After returning home, my friends and I are already looking into taking horseback lessons and intend to contact Posada De Trapa again when we return to Loredo.
