One of the minority of places where the publicity photos underplay the true appeal! The common spaces at Villa Rosalva are more extensive than we expected, with many attractive little nooks and crannies, including a couple of elevated structures, in which one can enjoy a drink, taking in the views, whether they be of Mt Teide, the sea or the nearby banana plantations. Our terrace was vast, with different shade options so that one could enjoy it for long periods of the day. It is somewhat isolated - buying provisions or going into town are 10-25 minute walks, with a lot of ups and downs. But taxis are cheap and plentiful if you don't fancy the ups. A really warm welcome from Ursula and Helmut, their little blind dog and several cats. A really chilled, very pleasant week was spent, and we certainly hope to return.
