Just go. Amazing hostel, amazing staff, amazing introduction to Korea, a country which has so much to tell us all. A family hostel, with an incredible willingness to share Korean culture. The area is rich in history, so well worth a visit. 

Korean experience

The owner Clint is amazing, will help you out provide you a set itinerary based on your time and desires. The hostel common areas is a little dirty and needs some attention though. No breakfast but there is hot water for coffee and tea 

Great location and owner 

It's so sucky, you could say the saying there's more shit than where it's made is the worst hostel we've ever stayed in Korea.We left because Lonely Planet recommended it, but it was a fluke...so much so that we thought we'd be staying two nights and switched to another for the second night...not recommending it, not offering any basics...

It was extremely cutting.

This hostel is located in centre of Gyeongju. The bus station is about a 3 minute walk. It's also walking distance from the train station. The owner Mr Kwon speaks fluent English having lived abroad and is also a tour guide. He gives a map on arrival with all the.main attractions and also lets you know the best things to do during the season you visit. He also gives tips you won't find in guide book so you are likely to see something the general tourist will miss out on. All the locals seem to know this place so if you get lost just mention Hanjin and they will point you in the right direction. It's very convenient with restaurants all around, 24/7 convenience shops and even a McDonalds 4 min walk away which I think was also 24/7. Couldn't have picked a better location or host. We will definetly return!!

Beat Location & Owner Speaks English

Me and my friend only planned on staying in Gyeongju a few days but we ended up staying for a week. Having the owner be a tour guide in the hostel really helped us (as it can be hard to find information in English sometimes)  and we were able to see everything we wanted to easily and quickly.

Being close to the city, bus terminal and train terminal made our travel super easy. And staying at the friendly hanjin hostel made our trip super fun! I would recommend any travellers wanting to make the most of their trip to stay here.

Went Gyeongju for 3 days, came back a week later

Very good value for money. Excellent location, a short walk to the bus station and tourist sites. The room and bathroom (we booked a private room with private bathroom) were clean. Clint was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area (being a tour guide) so had lots of recommendations on how we could spend our time in Gyeongju.

Good location, great service

Booked a single room for 3 nights and loved it. It was affordable and the location was very convenient. A huge bonus was that the owner spoke fluent English and helped me plan out my days. The hostel made sure I was comfortable and was very accommodating during my entire stay. I was also very pleased that the room had strong air conditioning and great wifi connection. I highly recommend this hostel if you're visiting the area.

Awesome place to stay!

We stayed at Han Jim Hostel for three night and had a great time. Mr Kwon is an amazing host, going out of his way to make our stay very enjoyable. He enjoys helping guests find the best things to see and eat in Gyeonju and providing all the amenities for our stay. Yes, the hostel is an old building but our room, linen and bathroom were clean, our bed was comfortable and the location was perfect for exploring Gyeonju. Thank you!

Good accommodation - fantastic service!

The picturesque has its limits... I had booked two rooms for the end of December, wanting to explore the city. You can consider that the boss is honest, since he had written me to plan for hot pajamas. Indeed, he had not put the heating on (don't believe a breakdown, the next morning before we left we had an hour's worth of tickets). Certainly the staircase had to be cluttered with a bunch of objects (such as the shops) can have its charm, and the owner had to print flyers showing the places to visit, the buses leading there, all that: well, he offers himself as a guide... Palier on the upstairs corner for smoking (there was no room).

Paying for drinking water, big first!

The rooms are simple yet spacious, conveniently located close to the bus station. They have free towels and air conditioning. No breakfast included. They have family rooms. Undoubtedly the most fun thing about the place is its owner Mr. Clint who helps you at all times with tips and places to eat.
