The place is gorgeous! If you want to escape from the city chaos, this is the place to go. The food is quite good, the rooms are spacious and very clean. They have also tents for glamping! The only shame is that the hosts are a bit clumsy. When we came no one told us when the dinner/breakfast is, not a single word about amenities (which is shame, because there are a lot)... I would also buy organic food, but I don't know if they sell it or they have it just for their needs.

Wonderful place, a bit "clumsy" hosts

Fist I must stress that Slovenians in general are quite polite and will try to help you if possible.
On a beautiful Sunday I took my family hiking to the beautiful mountains around Jezersko. 
On our way back to Jezersko we decided to take the a gravel road instead of a very steep and dangerous trail.
There was a trespass sign that we thought was regarding the fenced pastures. 
It didn’t take long for us to realize our mistake as the owner came blazing by and rudely yelled that we are trespassing and that we need to turn back. 
Imagine my surprise when I learned that the place is actually a tourist farm.
Someone should explain to the owner that if he doesn’t want visitors he should:
1. Build a roadblock and put the sign there
2. Stop advertising Sunday lunches on internet
3. Close down his web site
So when visiting Jezersko I suggest that you avoid this place and it’s very rude owner.

Quite possibly the rudest person in Slovenia

We went hiking to the beautiful mountaintops and on our way back we wanted to take the less steep gravel road down. As we did that we missed the warning sign, which was a bit misplaced, to be honest. We came to a beautiful place which we just wanted to pass by, when the  landlord came running on the hill along the road. Very unkindly on the boarder to rude he told us to go back where we came from and to take the path through the forest which is dangerously steep. Of course we turned back, how could we not with all his shouting and explaining that we are trespassers. 🤦‍♀️We are coming back to Jezersko for sure, just not to their place. Ever. 

NO TRESPASSING! 

We wandered into this areal after our hiking trip. We saw that there is a bio eco farm on the map and were happy to get a meal. At many similar establishments in Slovenia it’s common practice get some home made goodies.

We missed the warning signs that this is a private property, as it’s not common practice in Slovenia to have something on google but forbid access. 

When we came close to the area, a strange vibe was felt and a member of the family quickly came to tell us that we are trespassing. He didn’t allow us to go back on the main road but sent us back uphill and down a very rough mountain path. My pregnant wife didn’t enjoy that. All in all it felt like we did something very bad, where all we wanted is to get some food on the way to town.

Jezersko is nice but this experience makes me doubt we’ll return. And for sure not to the Makek area.
