Medrie International Hotel

I've enjoyed two stays at Medrie International Hotel, with and without children. The staff are very professional, warm and helpful. The owners, a local family, go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

The rooms are nice, beds are very comfortable and the location is great; right on the coast with lovely views of the beach or the city from your balcony. 

There are plenty of places to visit nearby and you're within easy reach of central Freetown, local amenities and markets, and the peninsular beaches. 

All in all, a great place to stay!

I stay in this hotel for 3 weeks last December. The Manager and her team are  friendly and helpfull staff. my room is always nice and tidy,will say again thanks you Neneh for looking after my room. everything work perfect Will definitely  recommend this hotel if anybody is going for a short stay.

The hotel and rooms were clean and good standart for the price.
The manager let us use your room for free the last day until our departure late in the evening.

We stayed at Medrie International for five nights in two single rooms. From start to finish, the staff were really responsive, hospitable and kind. The rooms are spacious and include a safe and small fridge, they were cleaned to a high standard and any queries were dealt with quickly and and to a high standard. I was moved after a few nights, so that I could be further from the generator at no additional cost, which was much appreciated.

The hotel is in a lovely spot on the beach, with good amenities nearby. We would definitely stay again and have no hesitation in recommending Medrie International.

A great family-run hotel

Great place, great staff

I will recommend this Hotel.

Nice hotel

We checked in late at approx 03.30 as we were held up sering family before we settled in the hotel, however the first thing that hit me was no elevator to take up your luggage.

However that was not the worst thing, the man that we were communicating with advised that a property with a sea view and all the things we asked for would be easily obtained only to find that he showed us 3 properties that had no sea view then the last one was.

What tops it of the initial price looks lower than other hotels however they do not used the leon rate to the pound.

As it was so late we stayed at the hotel for night and would then find a hotel the following day, however having got to sleep by 05.30, we were woken up by 09.30 for breakfast to our door which sounds fine, however there was 1 skinny frankfurter and a handfull of baked beans.

When my lady asked that the breakfast appears to be for one she was advised that if you want 2 breakfasts that is extra.

Afford this place.

Nightmare at Mendrie

I did not like this place at all. Reception was 0, the managers were not professional. The room I paid for was not available and I had the room I was offered was horrible . I have stayed at quite a few hotels in Sierra Leone and this one was terrible . Especially the fact it has such a great location . I was unable to get a refund as they came up with some story of some sort. Overall really disappointed waste of money

It was nice to be by the beach but the water didn't work the whole time and we had to wait hours to take a shower. Wifi was good and the Breakfast was awesome!
