Casa din Podee

Very confy, great owners, good food. You will have a great experience at Casa din Podee. The owners will help you with all they can. You can find great attractions at the inn and in the nearby area (trips to Cheile Zărneştiului, Cheile Râşnoavei, Bran Castle) ... and you have to try the poney ride :)

The place is right outside Bran, in a quiet area, not suffocated by other resorts and villas. The rooms are very clean and cosy, we got one with balcony, with view to the backyard and mountains. The owners are very kind, pay attention to every need you have and very helpfull. They offer breakfast in the morning, with eggs, ham, salami, cheese, vegetables and home made “zacusca”, together with tea or coffee. For families with kids I saw a playground in the backyard so it is also suitable for families. For the evening, they cooked for us - and it was amazing!! 
This place offers added value to the medium services offered in this touristic area. We will definetly come back and recommend to others!

Out of the ordinary Bran!

Very rude host, unacceptable behaviour!Avoid as much as possible!If you make the mistake of going there with your 1 year baby and forget to mention this, the owner will kick you out, just because he has some rooms where the furniture is made of gold and doesn't want your dirty baby to taint them. Important aspect: their policy does not mention the fact that families with children are not allowed in all rooms...
Never again...

Stay away!

The property managers/owners/whatsoever treat their clients like garbage! My family and I, altogether with few more families had been rejected the stay at this villa for no plausible and rational reason, only 3 hours before the check-in!
The owners moronic explanation was that we didn't respect the booking rules and regulations with checking the boxes for accomodation with infants, while booking the property online. The room price wouldn't be any different, we didn't need any extra beds or special treatment for the children.. however us not having checked those boxed while booking the rooms was enough for the owner to basically ruin our vacation, the day we'd arrive there!
I have never seen such a bizzare, careless and unrespectful attitude ever in my life. Never again even close to Casa din Podee!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

I had a terrible experience with Casa din Podee. I booked through a known booking site for a two nights stay together with four more families, each having one child no more than 3 years old. From an absolutely trivial omission we did not check the box mentioning that we have a child staying in the room with us and this triggered an absolutely hostile, discriminatory and unacceptable reaction from the host, Mr. Marian.  On short, the reservation was cancelled only couple of hours before the trip for all five families because we all had children and in this location and I quote the words of the host “in 3 rooms, children are forbidden”!!! Yes, you’ve read correctly, forbidden! 
I’ve checked the site to search for any mentioning of this disturbing information but I found nothing of such, on the contrary it was stipulated and I quote again “all children are welcome”! I still can’t grasp how this scenario can still be happening in our days. I felt absolutely discriminated on the grounds that I had a child. It is worth mentioning that our 2yrs old kid sleeps with us so we didn’t ask for additional bed, breakfast or anything which can be translated into additional costs or effort from the host, yet he simply refused to accept us! We even asked to pay more only to keep our reservation for which we all made some special arrangements but he simply did not want to receive us and canceled the reservation made 3 weeks before for all 5 families!!! So we all made/will make complaints to all the authorities who should be aware of this behavior and further more making some inquiries on this location we’ve learned that this is not the first time happening and seems like they are using a well-known site to attract clients but when they have some direct reservation they simply cancel the reservation made from the site on some questionable reasons (as in our case) the real reason being to avoid paying commissions. 
Shame Mr. Marian, for such discriminatory attitude, shame for ruining the w/e of 5 families and shame for using such blamable schemes just to avoid commissions!

Unfriendly behavior towards families with children! Discriminatory attitude from the host!
