vila 11

i spend 2 nights mid august at villa 11. i chose the place mostly because of the price and covenient location for my purpose. although some reviews were not so encouraging, i gave it a try. i arrived late in the night and had a wonderful and long conversation on spirituality with stefan, the owner. a man in his 60s, with a fine long beard - looking like a monk. our talk in the lobby of this old villa, decorated as if i stepped into a movie set enhanced the storylike atmosphere. then i went into my room. to my surprise, i found a squeeky clean, quiet and cozy place, where i really loved to spent 2 days and nights. next day i met stefan’s wife, a very nice canadian lady, who prepared the breakfast for me. i litterally felt like home. i don’t know about other people’s expectations, but to me villa 11 was a great place to stay and when i’ll travel again to bucharest i will definitely come back to continue the spiritual conversations with stefan, have those yummy pancakes that stefan’s wife is baking, and have a good rest in my cozy room.
