I've stayed in this hostel for a couple of days in 2012. It seemed better as the staff appeared friendly and caring. This time it was the opposite. Language barriers, no breakfast, staff late for the check-in with no possibility to reach (5 calls in a row with no call back). Room cleaning was late, even though they set the time themselves. No towels or toilet paper ( had to asked for them), the bathroom had no vents so it was wet all the tine. Double bed was stringy and uncomfortable. Prices seem to go up but the quality if rooms and service on the opposite. All in all very bad value for this kind of accomodation. Not returning here ever.

Getting worse

We were suppose to be at 2 pm int he hostel (as the check in was at this time) but nobody heard our ringing... We were waiting on the street (for worse it was raining) few minutes until somebody answered the phone. 
The recepcionist was cleaning and she didn't hear the bell... Great...
And she informed us, that the room is not ready. Finally we managed to have a room at 4pm. We even didn't hear "sorry".
There was no toilet paper/soap/towels in the bathrooms. They charged us extra money for towels... 
Breakfast? Seriously, the cheapest black tea, cereals and milk - everything "mini preco quality" you call it breakfast? It is a joke.

We couldn't spend time in the living room in the morning because some people were sleeping there (after parties, so untill 1 pm). 

Too big prices for this conditions...

But the location was good, also it was quite clean.

This youth hostel is perfectly located in the city centre but not too noisy. The sheets are provided as well as a pillow. The reception is not open until after noon, not ideal if you want to get some information before leaving for the day.

Very well located

Very good hotel, with a thunder welcome, the owner speaks both French, English, Spanish and of course Portuguese. Many nationalities are available and exchange is guaranteed. Possibility to share rooms in 4, 6 or 2. On each floor there is a small kitchenette available as well as a collective bathroom. I really recommend this hotel for a stay course in Porto.

Very good address

I have chosen this hostel because the logo and the name had inspired me :-) I booked the room for my cousin who told me that he found it very good and the place was beautiful and elegant... so... all ok for me!!!

Very Nice Place!!!

The breakfast is a joke, I am sorry, please don’t write „breakfast included“ in hostelworld. Anybody calling a 19 kg pack of cornflakes and condensed milk in a tiny kitchen without chairs a breakfast must be a poor man. The owner doesn’t speak English
Please put bins in the rooms if you dont want people to leave their litter around

less than promised

Hostel very well located, close to the Douro, but the street on which the hostel is located is quite noisy... the staff is welcoming, available and arranging. The common room is very nice and the rooms are clean. The only disadvantage is the sanitary facilities shared with another room and the reception that only opens from 2pm.

Very well located hostel

They speak several languages, suitable for those who don't usually go to a hostel, the private room is very quiet and we never meet anyone in the hallway. We were on the fourth floor without an elevator, but our suitcases were taken up. We enjoyed a private mini terrace, where you can see the life of Porto. Taxi stop at the door. Very good.

3 days at the airport

Nice staff, but disappointing hostel... noisy street, reception opening only at 2:00, very rudimentary breakfast, little dishes available, no garbage in the bedrooms, one toilet for the hall and in the same room as the bathroom...

Helpful staff, clean rooms,showers, good locations where ever you want you can find here!!!
