33 reviewsThe Senator Hotel is fairly nondescript from the outside but inside it is pleasantly furnished. The hotel is on the outskirts of Katowice, about a 15 minute walk from the city centre and there is a tram stop directly outside the hotel gates however due to renovations in the city there is only one tram operating at the time of this review, the number 40 which terminates in the centre. We booked a twin room for two nights on a bed and breakfast basis, we had a good welcome at reception where the hotel facilities were explained in detail. Our room was on the first floor. The room was quite large with two comfortable beds, a large balcony, there was a small TV with a small selection of domestic channels. There was a lot of storage space. The bathroom was large with a good powerful shower but no bath. We had breakfast on one occasion which was a buffet selection with cold cuts, bread and rolls, juice, tea/coffee, yogurt, cereals also sausages and scrambled egg. It was extremely substantial and very good considering it was included in the room rate. We had dinner on two occasions and the food was very reasonably priced but was also delicious and served quickly. The hotel is an excellent choice and the staff were all friendly and extremely helpful.
