Pinegrove Mountain Lodge

Although booking is a hassle, it was worth the effort. Management has to simplify and make booking convenient and easy! Also the front desk folks need "customer service training!" Most, if not all, do not have the welcoming and friendly personality of front desk personnel. They need training. When we wanted to get info about our rooms/accommodations or other amenities, they could not provided adequate answers! However, all the other staffers -from the doorman, house-keeping, gardeners, ride operators --and especially the restaurant wait staff, seem to have the warm and friendly personality that makes for good service! Having said that, Pinegrove is a wonderful place to stay! They have "barkada rooms" that house 8-10 people with 2 private bathrooms or regular rooms that can sleep 2 or 4. The rooms were clean and the bedsheets were fresh smelling. House keeping came every morning to clean the room and make up the beds. The surroundings are clean and well-kept and the greenery well-trimmed. The restaurant located in the main building, provided adequate meals --even tasty meals! A variety of fruits were readily available (-depending on season, we were told) and if one was a vegan or vegetarian, their kitchen staff was able to prepare dishes suited for these types of diners. The area is at the foothills of the Kitanglad mountain range and the weather is cool throughout the year, but in the event of hot days, the rooms are all equipped with air conditioning. This is a great place for relaxation as well as fun activities like zip-lining and the like. The early mornings are the best, where it is still quiet and serene with the sun peeking out from among the new zealand pines! To get here, one has to have personal transportation or arrange for one, because there is no public transport servicing this area.
