Bright Hostels Cusco

We were very happy with this accommodation. Staff were lovely and tried very hard to make our stay pleasant. Note that it’s a little bit uphill but this is fairly unavoidable in Cusco. There’s also no lift, so that’s just something to be prepared for. We paid 40 Sol for a taxi from the airport. You could possibly get this cheaper but my friend agreed to this price and started following the taxi driver before I had a chance to do any price comparisons.

Your stay looks brighter with Bright Hostels

I would not say that this is the ideal place to stay but the hostel is better than most in Cusco. This involves a bit of climbing up steep slopes if you are not going to go by car. The visa card machine can only charge in soles and conversion rate they give you is really bad if you are booking through some international websites like booking or tripadvisor its preferable you carry cash in dollars with you if you want to pay them exactly as agreed. Rooms are nice and airy. The television in the room doesn't work but well who needs TV when you are in Cusco anyway? The bathroom is a bit cramped and the hot and cold water system is a bit cumbersome. The toilet gets clogged very easily. The included free breakfast is pretty standard. Wifi is available in room but is weak. All in, this hostel offers you exactly what you paid for. Given that the location is just a few minutes walk from the main square you may consider crashing here if most of the day is spent outside anyway.

Decent stay and your moneys worth

Upon arrival at Cusco we had made prior arrangements for a taxi pick up however our taxi was late, When arrived at Bright Hostel it was close we were trying to call and we could not contact them, finally we got there and we immediately complained to the manager. the hostel was ok, for the price we could get a better one for sure. However we still wished that our stay was more peaceful because of the continuous party of the other guests but it was our choice.

Ok. Hostel, No the best option

We stayed for 3 nights at the Bright Hostal. The service was poor, the front desk people always had a bad attitude.The rooms were clean but the bathrooms didn't have towels or toilet paper. On one occasion my mom asked if they could put her medicine in the fridge and they sent her to do it instead. The hostal isn't too bad but the employees make you wish you stayed somewhere else. Very unhelpful

Poor Customer Service

We were looking for somewhere to stay just for 2 days and not too far from the city centre. Ok, this place is in the centre but what it was suppose to be a quite and nice place wasn’t at all. The owner was rude since the beginning, the room was horrible and when we left the hostel, we received an e-mail from booking.com, the owner told them that we weren’t there (No show).
Don’t stay there,please avoid this place.

More than worst

We negotiated a price for our group of six people who waited for us in the open air at Plaza de Armas. When we arrived with all the group and luggage the price was different.No word and unfriendly staff. Always ready to charge, but slow to clean the room (we asked to clean our bathroom for four days). Just stay if there is no other option.
