Traveled to many, many end-of-the-road places in pursuit of fish and La Finca was off the charts. Cabanas were fantastic with the best shower I’ve ever had in my life. Small communal kitchen was great!

Place was great, quiet and secluded.  Right by the beach, located with-in walking distances of all the restaurants. The area is great if you like long black sand beaches with very few other people, apparently the surfing is good as well.

Sean and Abby have a beautiful, hotel that is unlike any other I have stayed in. Having only three cabanas makes it a quiet, personal experience. The grounds are beautiful. The room was cozy and kept up well. We loved the hammock and ocean view. The only suggestion I would make is it would be nice if the kitchen was stocked with some basics that most guests would use- some fruit, milk, eggs, etc.

La Finca is a truly beautiful space located in the perfect location in Cambutal. The casitas were super private, comfortable, up on the hill with ocean views and only a short 30 second walk to the beach. Hot showers, cold AC, soft sheets, real luxuries in the jungle. The cocina space was great for cooking and the people that hang near La Finca are all incredibly warm and welcoming!

We wanted to see what the "end of the road" on the Azuero looked like, and we couldn't have picked a better place. Abby and Sean were great hosts, helpful and communicative. The room, hand built by Sean, is gorgeous. It's centrally located and just steps away from the beautiful beach. The birdwatching in the area is great, too. It's a great place to sit on the porch and watch the waves or nap in the hammock.

If you're looking for a place to really unplug and relax, stay at La Finca. Hidden up on a hill, but conveniently located right across the street from the beach, this place is perfection. We stayed in the Rancho Cabana and spent looooong lazy mornings rocking on the front porch, sipping coffee and watching the waves. Afternoons were equally as relaxing, spent swinging on the hammock, or having a nap in the air conditioned room. Between those activities, we surfed, played in the waves, laid on the virtually empty beach, and ate delicious food at all the different local spots. There is also access to an adorable kitchen. Simple but yummy breakfast foods are out for guests in the morning, and we took advantage of the kitchen and made a few lunches for ourselves there, too. The owners were awesome -- SUPER helpful assisting us plan our transportation to and from Cambutal, as well as answering all the questions we had, and just generally making sure we were having a nice stay.  They also own a little shop down the road called Cambutique, which has some pretty cool stuff --Panamanian crafts, cool art, some clothing and even wine. La Finca feels like such a sweet secret, but everybody should know about this place!

Cambutal gives you the feeling of reaching the end of the Road - in the most positive way! And the slow, relaxing Vibe is Best enjoyed in Sean and Abbys beatifully designed cabanas. With a quality interior (nicest shower we’ve seen in Panama) and a view to die for with front row to the pacific from the porch outside, you can kick back and enjoy life. And if you need a little more action, Sean is very helpfull recommending Day trips, arranging surf gear etc. 
We spend five nights at La Finca with two kids (7 and 10), and both children and grown ups were reluctant to leave. We will definately recommend this place. 

Wow wow wow. This place is amazing  we have stayed here twice. Amazing room with sea views over looking beautiful cambutal. The staff were friendly and helpful knowledge of  things to see and do. Love the decor of the rooms and bathroom very comfortable beds and also love the breakfast and kitchen area! Could not recommend enough and can’t wait to return.

Loved the hotel, it is different and unique with the beach right in front. The room itself was comfy and very clean. The hotel has a comunal kitchen where you can bring your own food and cook, the breakfast is included but you have to cook it yourself. In the hotel there is a small restaurant that offers breakfast during some days of the week, it has good pastries and coffee as well. The Cambutal beach is ok, more for surfers, but you can still have a nice dip and if you walk along the beachside for about an hour you will find some awesome caves during low tide. Overall I really recommend visiting this hotel and Cambutal as well as it is a very nice little village.

Tucked into a lush, tropical garden with views of the Pacific Ocean, La Finca is the perfect place to stay as you escape to the peaceful beach town of Cambutal, Panama. My room was clean and comfortable - I loved the simple, yet elegant design and the reliance on local materials. The open air shower was my favorite part of the room. It made me feel like I had really escaped, really gone somewhere special. 

You can tell that the owner, Sean, is very passionate about what he does and I love being able to support a small business when I travel. This place is exactly that - three cabañas built by the man who dreamed them. 

One of the other parts about my stay that I loved was the easy access to the beach. The beach in Cambutal is amazing! You can walk for over an hour in each direction and the beach faces South so there are stunning sunrises and sunsets each day.

La Finca was the perfect place from which to explore the quiet town of Cambutal where you can enjoy surfing, yoga, horseback riding, and quiet beach time. I will definitely  be back!

Charming hotel, perfect place to relax!

Have just  returned from a 2 week stay at the Treehouse Cabana at La Finca. A beautifully crafted space with an amazing view of the ocean. Minutes away from a  beautiful walking and swimming beach as well as a few steps away from an outside cafe Sugar Mamas that serves yummy breakfasts and once a week themed dinners. A variety of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Owners Sean and Abby live close-by and are readily available. A must-stay if you are visiting Cambutal.
