Mainly a sleep-over for workers of the nearby industrial area. Reception only few hours/day, Mon-Fri, all the rest contactless as per 'e-mail guide'. Functional, but rather uncomfortable.  Free DIY laundry and ironing facilities a great plus. 'Nothing personal, just business'.

The people from the Apartment Hotel make you feel at home. The apartments have a comfortable size to feel at home. They have a nice kitchen - fully equipped and self-service-laundry for free. WiFi is very good - so you can work “from home”.
There are a few nice walking routes (coastal road) in the area. There’s a (new) supermarket next door. 

Welcome Home !

On arriving at the Hummeren Hotel we were told that they didn’t have a room for us, even though we had booked a month previously....another story. However the owner had a “luxury” apartment hotel and thus we found ourselves at the Leilighetshotel; the pros there was free parking, hot water in the shower and a guest laundry. The cons, the location looked like an industrial area and from our window we looked into a container yard, on a main road lots of traffic particularly of a morning, no reception one had to use codes to access building and room, a single duvet on a double bed and only one pillow with a cover, found a very stained uncovered pillow on top of a cupboard. We were in a room perhaps the other rooms and “luxury” apartments were better. This is not the type of place we would choose to stay at on a road trip through Norway.

Poor to average

Spent one evening at this Apartment hotel before heading back to Bergen, Norway.  It is unlike any other hotel that I have ever stayed at before.  For one thing, there was no one to greet us when we arrived that evening.  Did not see any staff members at all.

All the instructions are given through email it seems.  Not sure of all the details because our friends took care of everything.  Got to book ahead of time that's for sure.

Anyways, we spent a comfortable evening at the place.  Free Wi-Fi.  Room was fine.  Bed was comfortable.  Served its purpose well.  If ever in the area again, I would stay here.

Different from American hotels 

I stayed here for one night and only had a room, not a suite. The check in details (door codes and key location) are all done via email and worked well, arrival to room in a few minutes. The room was clean, modern and reasonably well equipped - could have used more than one pillow, but managed without. The only downside with the room was the temperature, very warm and almost uncomfortable but opening the window let in too much noise. The location is perfect for what I needed, close to the harbour and a short drive from Stavanger. The downside is the impersonal feel to the whole concept. I understand the apartment concept and savings by not having staff there all day and a restaurant or bar, but after a long journey it's nice to be greeted and to know there is someone on hand to fix any problems. If that's not a concern, then this is the perfect hotel for you. I'll use again next time I'm in Tananger.

Nice but impersonal.

The charm of Stavanger is that it's on the waterfront. When we chose this hotel, we focused on the view from the window. We all really liked the clean rooms, the great restaurant by the hotel with the summer veranda, the very nice owners.
