Odda

Very good stay at Trolltunga Studios! The dormer beds are comfortable, the view of the fjord is magnificent, and the manager is nice and knows all the slopes in the vicinity. The car park can accommodate about a dozen cars. A good drop-off point in Odda for road trips!

Very good stay in Odda

It's all relative, right? Well, we had just come from staying in a 2-bedroom modern apartment with a large private deck facing a fjord, 1 hour and 15 min from Odda, for a bit less than we paid for our miniscule unit at TS, which could have fit inside the kitchen of that apartment. No surprise that we hated TS. It was so cramped that two of us couldn't move around the room at the same time and there was no room to put anything. The "kitchen" was poorly equipped and, on top of everything else, they charge extra for linen!  I gave a star for the location and another for Dante, the receptionist, so helpful, friendly, and solicitious. I probably should have given another star for cleanliness but just didn't feel it was worth 3 stars.    Accommodation in Odda is limited and expensive but if you have any other option, choose it.

Access to a large kitchen where You can cook with other people in great international  atmosfer.

Great Location for Trolltunga hike

I was searching for a low price private room in the area and after looking on several booking websites, found "Trolltunga Fjordview" which is the same as this hostel.  The location is pretty good, walkable to bus station and town center for grocery and restaurants.  The room is acceptably clean and cozy.  Shower is hot.  Kitchen is adequate.  The host is awesome.  Efficient and answered all my questions regarding the famous Trolltunga hike nearby.   Yes, they charge for linen, but this is in line with other Hostels.  I had my own sleeping bag and towel, but paid for the linen.  Everything in bed looked and smell fresh and new anyway.  In conclusion, a safe and comfortable stay for excellent value compared to everything nearby.


Great location, amazing host

We start with the positive notes: -pleasant and cordial staff above all expectations -very convenient to get to the Trolltunga parking lot, being very close makes it easy to reach P2 before the seats are over. -large private parking. -And now unfortunately the negative notes: -the structure is very old-fashioned to the limits of agility if it were in Italy -the kitchen unusable because of the large number of guests -One common bathroom for all the rooms, of course dirty because of 15/20 full rooms in August. -The room is equipped only with a castle bed and not a double one. -Neither are they provided with federal pillowcase coverings..and the pillowcase was very disgusting.

Me and my girlfriend stayed there for over night. Wanted to see Odda after watching Ragnarök on Netflix. I've seen people complain about how close this is to and old factory, but this factory was an important location in the show, so I was extra excited for that 😁

The rooms were OK, not the best beds or showers, and so weird to have to pay extra for linen, kinda ridiculous, but the staff was fantastic. Young British girl and a young guy were very nice and helpful 😊

Decent affordable place 

First, there were no hot water in the shower! The room was pretty small. When we got to the hostel, the receptionist said we need to pay extra 200 NOK for the booking.com fee. We came there after a long day of traveling so we paid them immediately because we wanted to get the room ASAP. Later l checked the reservation and l saw that it says we paid the full amount! I told it to the receptionists but they didn’t want to pay us back! They said it’s a new policy that they charge for the sheets, but we brought sheets from home especially for not paying for this, because in the reservation it say “You can rent sheets and towels in the hostel”. But no where written that we have to use and pay for the sheets of the hotel.

They urge you to pay extra without saying it before

I slept one night in this lodging in Odda, convenient for the location because two minutes from the shuttle stop to Trolltunga; comfortable the presence of kitchen and various accessories for dinner there.

A short and lovely visit.

A nice location, very near to the city and to the the main trekking places such as trolltunga. Very quiet and open lake view in front of it, We actually did our breakfast outside , which was really cool. Last but not the least, really friendly good staff which are good in conversation esp. English and also quite helpful regarding any other visiting and trekking information.

Just great

We stayed in this hostel in August 2017 for 2 nights for the fantastic Trolltunga climb. At first I was very skeptical of the choice made, but it was the best! The rooms are small and have common bathrooms but still clean. The beauty of this place is that in the kitchen area we are all together eating, comparing to ask for advice and opinions about visits made, the climate is family environment and a 10++ we owe it to Dante and his parents who made us feel at home
