Basic clean and tidy very accommodating for essential workers especially at the time of night we arrived and contactless checking love it . Thankyou for the stay and I highly recommend you to others travelling . I plan to stay again in the furture. Thankyou. 

Price was awesome, place was spotless it was like it was brand new, Great air conditioning for the summer, customer service was outstanding, short walk into town, fantastic restaurant just across the road

Stayed here for just 1 night. Very handy for a stopover. They think of everything ear plugs to combat the road noise. Comfy bed Extra seating sofa and chairs. A good little place. Unit had fridge stove top. microwave. everything that is needed

Really clean motel, with very friendly and thoughtful manager. It's older and pretty dated, but it's cheap, clean and convenient. Perfect for our drive between Rotorua and Wellington, giving us time to enjoy the trip between.

We stayed overnight in a comfortable room. The relief manager was very helpful and friendly, and the room was clean and had everything we needed, including earplugs for the traffic noise! We didn't use them, and only noticed the noise intermittently. Would happily stay again.

Booked about 2 hours before arrival. The owner was super accommodating, easily meeting my families needs by adding extra beds to our room. Friendly greeting, tea, coffee and extras along with milk provided. Good, clean room, powerful shower...and they allow dogs. Will definitely stay here again.

Our first time in Taihape we stayed at this place, it was nice and clean, comfy bed, good staff. Close to town and about 20mins to travel to Waiouru. We enjoyed our stay. But, I think they allowed animals in their motel because i'd seen a couple with their dog in their room.

Good location.

It was a busy motel and OK for a night's stay. We requested a cot and were told this was OK, but it turned out there were none in the motel and we were advised to use the sofa-bed for our baby, which we managed but it made things tricky. We had to move the sofa-bed, which showed clearly that no-one had cleaned behind it for some time. Kitchen facilities were clean and good, nice pillows & bedding. The shower temperature fluctuates, you are alternately frozen & scalded.

Reasonable

This is what I call a “road trip“ motel. We needed a respite between the South Island and driving up to Auckland. This was a perfectly adequate stay. We had a late check in, the hotel host was kind and accommodating. My room, the air on  was not working so he quickly found a  new room for me. The bed linen was adequate but  the bed was a bit soft but definitely provided a good nights sleep. There’s even a small kitchenette if people are staying longer than a few days and want to cook for themselves. Do expect a bit of noise as the hotel is situated off the main road. But the host kindly provides your plugs for the guests. Never seen that in any motel. So if you’re ever traveling through New Zealand and you need a respite in the middle of the North Island in Taihape go for it! 😊

Clean and nice staff

Regret any I couldn’t get excited over this place.  In poor state of repair, not great bed, only 1 pillow per bed but it did have a reasonable air conditioner. The carpets were in a poor state. The location is close to a railway line and had a truck stop alongside so was pretty noisy. The manager was pleasant.
