Blarneys Rock - Rotorua Backpackers and Accommodation

Centrally located to local amenities, the I-Site and buses. The owner was incredibly helpful with suggesting top places in the area to do, see and experience, from walks of Rotorua to events further afield. The bathroom facilities were either communal or just female, but coming during peak season I never had to wait, they were spacious and very clean. The room I stayed in, had a bottom double bunk bed, very comfortable mattress (if not slightly thin) however sheets were made each day, there was no glaring lights from outside, the windows were were clean and overall I had a great nights sleep. With power supplies adequately located in the room as well as a desk also. The kitchen and living room areas were also very generously spaced, and the overall decoration was very well done. Rotorua has so much to do, it's a mandatory stop off in the North Island, I'd recommend Blarney's to anybody however I understand it's closing down at the end of Feb '16, which is a shame as you'll have lost out on a fantastic hostel, affordable and high quality and a pleasure to stay for the two nights I was there.
