Friendly staff and excellent location right by the shops/restaurants.  Amazing view of the castle ruins on the hill

Hotel Janssen is a great place to stay. Small B&B style friendly hotel with a fantastic continental breakfast and right next to everything and everywhere you want to go. Nice size rooms that are very clean and comfortable and a nice lobby for relaxing at night with a beer or wine and snack. Highly recommend if you are staying in Valkenburg.

Beautiful hotel, great location, there's free coffee and tea at the cozy common area. Very helpful staff.Very steep stairway, not suitable for people with babies, people with disability or older people. If you want an accessible room, ask for it in advance.

The hotel is in an excellent position for the tourist attractions and an easy walk to lots of restaurants. Room was clean and well presented.

Nice property.  Friendly Staff.  Clean Quite and Comfortable.  Bike friendly.  Cheap snacks and drinks in the self service bar. Free coffee and tea.  Good selection of beers available.  Nice sitting area on the street.  Good location.

Our family had the best time staying at the Janssen’s hotel. Small, family owned, walking distance to everything we did it was a great discovery. We also loved the board games available in the common living area. If we ever travel back to Valkenburg there’s no question of where we’ll stay!

Loved our stay, self serve honor system mini bar was great, extremely convenient location, literally steps from everything. No A.C. which is normally not a problem, however it was very hot during our stay (heat wave). Parking was available onsite for us during our stay, sounds like this isn't always the case but I guess we got lucky! The stairs were intense (tiny and steep) but 100% would love to stay again.

The owners are really friendly and helpful .- - even when we woke them at 1.30 am coming back from the Andre Rieu  concert  as we couldn’t get the front door to open  initially !!! The lounge and outside area for the guests is lovely . It is the little extras that make this place stand out from others with complementary hot drinks and  sweets , nuts  etc and other drinks available on an honesty basis where you serve yourself and write down what you have bought and pay when you leave all at Very reasonable prices . There are also games and magazines , sweets in the room etc . The breakfast is very good too and beautifully presented- I loved the egg cups for the boiled eggs . I would suggest you book a room at the front of the hotel  for the best views .

The Hotel Janssen is a  delightful family-run 11 room guesthouse. Yvonne is an excellent hostess. The room was quite spacious (although the bathroom is a bit on the small size). The breakfast each morning was delicious. The guesthouse is located in the centre of Valkenburg, close to all of the tourist sites. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
