Hotelschip Gandalf

A friend and I stayed here while in Amsterdam, we enjoyed our stay here and the couple was very nice. They are happy enough to help you with any needs. The boat and room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfy. The location was great just a 10/15 min walk from Central train station. The furthest we had to walk was around 30mins to the anne frank house. The breakfast was lovely and would definitely recommend the pancakes. A few things I would take note of before booking - There is a small metal ramp to get on and off the boat. There is no amenities in the rooms except for plug sockets, and one towel each, but there is tea and water available 24/7 in the breakfast area. Don't expect a large buffet for breakfast but there is a small amount to have some choice. There is around 2 or 3 different types of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, a selection of bread and pastries and the host asks if you want any eggs or pancakes cooked, however the food is delicious. We stayed in a room with two single beds, the room and bathroom was slightly cramped but this did not cause a massive problem for us. We were allowed to keep our bags on the boat on the last day until it was time to leave which was extremely helpful. Overall I would recommend staying here! There was people there of various ages and a mixture of friends/families and couples.
