Hotel One Direction

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights - it was cheap, clean, comfortable, friendly and quiet. It's in a perfect location in that it is just off the main Lakeside street so it's calm, but only 30 seconds walk to the main drag. Dil, who runs the hotel as a family business, was extremely helpful to us, showed us around Pokhara, including Devi's Falls and the Peace Pagoda, before we headed off into the mountains to Poon Hill and Chomrong. We had planned to do a longer trek, but my girlfriend had injured herself, so Dil tailored the trek to our new requirements very effectively at short notice and kindly helped us with our backpacks so we didn't need to carry too much. Dil is extremely knowledgeable about the Annapurna mountains (as well as every other trekking area in Nepal I understand) and knew the best tea houses to get us into during the trek. He has such a good relationship with the owners that we found ourselves sitting in the kitchen making momos one evening! Dil organises other activities too if trekking isn't your thing, making Hotel One Direction a great starting point for any trip to Pokhara. Highly recommended.
