We received a warm welcome from Mario and his wife. We only planned to stay one night, but the room was so clean and comfortable and the view so beautiful, that we ended up staying a week! The atmosphere is calm, relaxed and peaceful. The rooms are big and has been revamped recently. We can recommend it to everybody and will definitely stay there again should we visit Swakopmund again. Mario, we wish you all of the best and may God bless and take care of you and your family.

The hosts were very helpful and we enjoyed our stay.  The beach is walking distance, but the town is +- 5 minutes drive away.The hosts accomodated us on short notice.  We were able to leave the dogs at the B&B while we went out for the day.

Very good guesthouse in a very good neighbourhood in Swakopmund. Rooms are neat. The reception office however smelled like cigarettes, but no problem with rooms - very clear and comfortable

The budget rooms need some tlc,overall appearance is clean, toiletpot did not work properly! Management is friendly!Location great.will visit again but not the budget rooms!

The budget rooms need some TLC but the friendliness of the management couple makes up for it!
Situated near the sea in a nice neighbourhood  We had a very nice barbecue on the Saturday. Will book again but in the rooms on the first floor.

Sleep in the sound of the waves!

The Expedia booking details were incorrect, with a wrong picture of the room I booked. So it turned out to be smaller with less space, no chairs etc. the details said 'room with a view' but I don't consider a brick wall 'a view'. The room smelled, and the bathroom smelled of drains. The TV was an old cathode ray TV balanced 10 feet off the ground on top of a wardrobe. Not all channels worked. the bed had no headboard, and as there were no chairs the only way to watch TV - if you could see it from that distance - was to lie prone on the bed. The hotel details say there's a lounge/bar. there isn't. WiFi wasn't working in the rooms either. the reception area reeked of smoke - a bad advertisement for a hospitality establishment which are supposed to be smoke free.I complained after the first night (who wouldn't) and the management offered me another room, if I paid extra! The manager was defensive and wanted to blame Expedia. I decided to leave, but he refused to refund the two nights remaining.

Disaster

We are a group of 15 (4 families) who booked and paid deposits for 3 days' stay in July 2015 We received an email from another guesthouse a week ago, informing us that the Seahorse closed down and that we will be accommodated by them However they do not seem to be able to accommodate us according to our needs (we need at least 3 family rooms/suites since we have small children (under the age of 12) We would have like the option to book other accommodation seperately if we could get our deposits back and are now having a difficult time securing our stay!
