Hotel El Amal

This is a very basic hotel, as is reflected in the extremely low price, so dont expect lots of facilities. However, the staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms are clean. So if you want a nice quiet place just to sleep in, that is ideally situated right in the heart of the Medina, then i would have no hesitation in recommending it, I was there for 10 days and had no complaints at all. I did notice that the owner is making improvements to the property, so watch this space. As I say, its just somewhere to sleep right in the heart of the Medina, it doesnt have any restaurant,( one of the reviews on here mentioned a restaurant, but they must have got their hotels mixed up) but a five minute walk will bring you to limitless choices of eating places, and it's only a 10 min walk from the main square of Marrakech so everything is right on your doorstep. It is situated on a dead end alley, so there is no through traffic and its quiet. The traffic in the Medina is only the ubiquitous scooter anyway as cars cant get there.
