Very close to the bus station and so that’s key. The hotel staff Sia was super helpful and her Google guide helped us maximize our day. Beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms and the roof top Terrace. Cherry on top was the awesome breakfast. If I am in Chefchaouen again will definitely stay there

It was a wonderful trip and very happy with the hotel and staff, specially Ahmed who guided us with all the places of interest and made us felt home with his excellent service. Breakfast and location were good and had no problem finding a parking very close to hotel.

I cannot say enough good about this place!  It is special and comfortable. Our room was fabulous and completely spotless. Breakfast on the terrace was delicious. WiFi was great in all parts of the hotel. The most amazing part was Ahmed. He is a fantastic person that can’t do enough to make his guests feel welcome and at home. His love and passion for what he does and for Chefchousen is truly remarkable. From helping us park to getting us to our room to giving us Google map locations for all the best sights and even restaurant recommendations. He is a master!This property is super convenient and easy walking to all the best sights to see. And you don’t want to miss meeting Ahmed!  He is the best.

We are giving this hotel 4 stars because of the great breakfast and wonderful staff who go above and beyond.  We stayed here because we thought it would be quieter than the Medina.  This was a mistake.  The hotel has a Quiet Time of midnight to 8 am which was mostly respected, but the surrounding area has barking dogs, loud trucks and roosters crowing at all hours.  There also isn’t much around it as far as restaurants and bars. As I have a bad knee and use a cane, management gave me a room on the first floor (about 14 stairs up) and offered to serve me breakfast in my room.  As the rooms are quite tiny, I elected to walk up to the 4th floor rooftop for breakfast.  Nice view and excellent breakfast.  It was rainy and cold while we were there.  Had the weather been nicer, the roof would have been a good place to hang out.  We asked if there was a nearby restaurant to walk to in the rain but the receptionist pulled out a take out menu so we didn’t have to go out.  Someone from the hotel picked it up and brought it to us which was really nice.   I also would have gladly traded my tv for a light strong enough for reading and a chair.

When I come back to Chefchaouen, it will be back here.The location is just 5 minutes uphill from the bus and taxi station. Its a 10 minute walk from the beginning of old town which is nice because hauling in your suitcase is no problem here.The breakfast was nice and it was on the terrace with a lovely view The star of the show were thebstaff. Bith were passionate and proud of Chefchaouen and it showed. I was given suggestions of sites to see and places to eat on my google map.The bed was a little hard, but that is personal preference. There is no elevator so keep that in mind if you get a room that is higher up or are traveling with older family members or family members with disabilities. I would definitely stay here again. Which is why I say until next time !

Our stay at Maison d'Hôtes Afassi was great, although we only had one day to explore Chefchaouen. Ahmed was very friendly and helped us pinpoint the must-visit attractions on Google Maps, considering our short stay. Our bus departed at 7 a.m. the next day, so we couldn’t have breakfast at the hotel. However, we are very thankful that Ahmed packed us some food the night before to eat on the bus. We highly recommend everyone visiting Chefchaouen to stay at Maison d'Hôtes Afassi.

The 2 receptionists were helpful, friendly and lovely people!! The hotel and our room was very quiet and clean. We had a delicious breakfast with plenty of food on the rooftop terrace! The hotel was not located in the Medina, it was about a 10 minute walk uphill.We would highly recommend a stay here if you’re visiting Chefchaouen!

Ahmed is the most friendly and kind person I’ve met in my entire life. He is great to talk to and helpful all of the times. The service provided is just perfect. Rooms are clean, big and nice. Terrace is beautiful and with different kinds of places to sit and enjoy the view and the breakfast that is just great. It feels like staying in the home of your best friend that is just happy to see you. I loved it.

A nice Riad experience in blue city. The property was well kept but nothing extraordinary. The guy at the reception was genuinely welcoming and helpful. The room had a separate sitting area which was nice and cozy. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious.
