It’s hard to know what to write as it’s such a strange place. The positives - it’s a great location, the free breakfast was excellent and the owner very nice. The negatives - it’s in a court yard full of businesses so it’s noisy all day. There is no privacy as all that separates you from the courtyard is a window. The bathroom is next to one of the beds so if you are in the other room you pretty much have to climb over the person sleeping in that bed to use it. The fans are very noisy, the shower doesn’t really work and bizarrely the outside wall in the bathroom and kitchen are very hot so those rooms are like saunas. It’s expensive too. However this is mitigated by the free breakfast and free parking (which is a 15 min walk away) At least it’s a bit quirky

Hard to review

A rustic hotel with a good location, very close to everything, so there is too much noise at all times, which makes it difficult to rest at night, besides the fact that the beds are very uncomfortable, pillows and old sheets, as well as the rest of the furniture in the room, already requires a remodeling, the room was clean, but it is hot and has no climate, the parking is quite far away, it has a beautiful, but a little neglected garden in the center, where breakfast is served, which I thought was very good, I would never stay here again.

I don't like it.

The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is good, but it is very hot there is no air conditioning and the fans do not sound at all enough at night it is difficult to sleep, but the location is excellent, if I return but in winter time.

Very vintage style and authentic to the local culture.

People are very friendly, welcoming and always smiling.

It's been soo nice to stay there and will come back again one day. 

Cute stay & lovely hosts

Nothing like staying close to the historic center of San Miguel. The rooms and bathroom are very spacious and the morning coffee follows the same line as the hotels in Mexico, or it's all the same thing. Better still is because it's almost next to the Mexican food buffet El Taco Real, very good and cheap. The restaurants in San Miguel are usually expensive and the food is almost always the same, only the restaurants differ in refinement.

Excellent location

This cozy and quiet Casa is located a block from the center of San Miguel. Perfect location, great prices, and charming colonial house. But the best of all is its people, from the owner to each and every one of the employees! They are a team with a clear vision of working together to make you really feel at home! Juanita, Erika and Maty go out of their way to serve a great breakfast, which is included in the room price, Ana does an excellent job to keep the rooms very clean, Vicente is all around helping. These are some of the names I can remember. I can not find the best words to describe the warmth and friendliness of these people who made us feel at home. And Don Jaime, he is like a loving dad receiving his family every time you enter through the door. We also liked the peaceful patio area with beautiful hanging gardens and instrumental music, inviting you to stay there in the afternoons. Rooms are well equipped and very clean. No luxury but excellent for price. The only reason I did not gave it a 5 stars is that there is no A/C in the rooms. Other than that is the perfect place to call home while in San Miguel Alllende!

Home away from home

It's all a tour from the entrance, selling beautiful things that I liked a lot, it has an umbrella dining room that invites you to a delicious breakfast, water with a sauce de maître you remember several days of jumping, its fresh water, its weekend buffet is of the richest as they have a good chef, as well as asked by my friend Jaime el attend to them personally.

As a critic of hotel and gastronomy it is quite accommodating and very good for its food.

These are the 2 best attributes which waived other deficiencies for our family. We rented the apartment located at the roof-top level, which has beautiful view of churches. The Jardin and cathedral is a short 2 block walk. We also walked to the library and artisan market. The breakfast was included, and our host graciously allowed us to eat on the first instead of the last day. The night guard helped us to arrange taxi for 6AM departure.

Great Hospitality and Location

Excellent hotel in San Miguel, just 1/2 block from the main park and its beautiful church and surrounding restaurants and bars. Good breakfast included and attentive attention from its owners. Thanks to Jaime for your attention. Recommended hotel for a good rest.
