The Mar de Cortez Village is not very easy to find because in one of the dirt streets between the main access road to the northwest of La Paz and the sea. By setting the navigator on 24°08'00.0N 110°25'30.8W it is easily reached. It is about 15 km from the city center for which it is essential to have a car. The small and quiet village, with its alleys, alleys and bungalows, has been graciously designed and conveys a sense of informal and family atmosphere. The bungalows are, but they are a waste of refrigeration: the bathroom is dated and the bathroom needs renovation.

It's a beautiful and paradisiacal place, original and exotic. Always well served and its Italian food is a marvel! Atilio De Bortoli excellent host.

The best place to be.

Don Atilio, the owner is wonderful. We spent a lovely place that would last three nights and four days. Two minutes from a pristine beach without pollution or vendors. The Villas are very spacious and clean. Don Atilio prepares excellent dishes of traditional Italian food: pizza, salad, pasta and chamorros... We rented his car and offered him tips for our walks. Finally, a highly recommended BELLISSIMO... I have to warn you, if you style your vacation VTP in large hotel chains, Vilaggio is not for you.

Wherever you'd expect them less, in a corner lost by a short land trip, this place appears charmingly.Regarded by Atilio and some collaborators Gabriel and Liliana, all very attentive, they offer you a pleasant and quiet stay by the sea.

Places that offer tranquility because of their ubicacio, although it was not a good option, there was an effort by the administration to offer a better service, they were always attentive, but if what you are looking for is a cozy place and with all the services you should look for another option.

A quiet, though austere, place.

Myself and other 15 people, family and friends from Europe, spent 4 wonderful days at the Villagio.
When I realized the booking, Atilio, the owner, made his posible to fit us all in his bungalows. For us, it was the perfect option. Much better than going to the hotel. We really enjoyed Atilio's company, he's a really nice guy who takes care of you and makes everything's possible for you to have a real nice stay. His bungalows are very confortable and spacious.
Actually, the bungalows looks much better than on the pictures...I told Atilio to hire a good photographer, so the pictures would give a better idea of the high standing of his bungalows.
We had breakfast and dinner almost every day at the Villagio..Atilio is a great cook and he knows how to receive people.
Atilio also offers a cheap taxi service from the airport/harbor, much cheaper than using local taxis.
I definitely recommend the Villagio for spending a few days or more close to La Paz.

A piece of paradise

We booked a great place in La Paz and as a fellow Italian we went there for dinner at the restaurant.
As an Italian I was ashamed that they called it Italian food. OK, everybody can have a bad day.
Since our place in town where pretty noisy, we thought we might move to the Cabanas.
Having a look at it we decided NOT to stay there.
Sure, we like animals, but on in form of cockroaches. Peep holes in the curtains is not our way to sleep and the beds looked like they where pretty worn and old.
There are better places in La Paz!

DON'T GO THERE

My husband and I rented a house for a week in the same neighborhood as the restaurant and hotel.  We ate dinner here three times and thoroughly enjoyed each visit, due not only to the delicious Italian fare but also the lovely hospitality and idyllic atmosphere.  As we sat admiring the cleanliness and tranquility, we agreed that the next time we visit La Paz we will stay here!

We'll stay here next time

Been there last November. I have to say that I was a little skeptical at the beginning but Attilio, the owner and manager of this all-bungalow, simple resort, knows the perfect formula of warm hospitality, that worked great, at least for me. Clean rooms, essential amenities (ac, tv) and homemade italian food, together with absolute peace and a decent location just outside of La Paz, literally a few yards away from the lagoon with great views of town, made me feel like family. 

Simple, peaceful oasis with great italian food

We spent a vacation in La Paz, where Attilio, and our stay was simply perfect! Two minutes walk from the beach, surrounded by beautiful nature and pleasant accommodation. The rooms are spacious and clean. You can use the pool and there is also wireless Internet! The food is excellent and Attilio's pizza on Sundays is the best in town!
