I stayed here last summer and had a pleasant, problem-free stay.  So when I needed to return to Oaxaca, I had no hesitation in rebooking it. 

Maybe the management changed, but it’s not at all the same.  When I arrived, there was a kerfuffle with my reservation. No biggee, we worked it out. In the morning, where previously they had offered a simple selection of toast and cold cereals, they now included a cooked breakfast. The waitress was surprisingly rude, telling us that we either eat breakfast now or forget it. It was 830 am.  When it came, it was literally inedible—quite an accomplishment in Oaxaca!  The so-called enfrijoladas consisted of two tortillas with runny beans poured over them. We bailed. 
That evening (after the earthquake) the neighborhood disco cranked it up.  Impossible to sleep. I went to the reception desk and there was NO ONE THERE!
The following day, I mentioned to the clerk that the housekeepers had forgotten to provide the little bottles of water in our room. He informed me that water was provided on the first night only, and that I would have to buy some. I have NEVER been in a Mexican hotel that didn’t somehow provide water for their guests.  This is just being ‘codo’(cheap).  
This morning we had no water at all. They explained that they were waiting for the water truck —in other words they had neglected to keep their tank full, despite having relatively few guests. 

At that point, I blew off my last night and found a better hotel at a better price. I shall mot be returning

Used to be good. Not any more

This traditional hotel near Oaxaca's historic central district worked out well for me. The staff was helpful and friendly, the 99-peso breakfast was yummy and the staff helped me get a taxi to the airport at 3:30 am. Just a few short blocks from the must-see San Dominico church, convent and museum.

Nice little place with all the bacics at our disposal in a really gool location on the edge of the "Centro" area. The staff was very helpful and always polite. They recommended a day tour to Mitla and the Giant tree "Arbol Del Tule" as well as a couple other stops that was just a really great 10 hour day trip that we teally enjoyed and highly recommend. Nice little simple breakfast included. Would stay here again for sure if ever back in Oaxaca.

Breakfast: very bad. Coffee looks like dirty water. Taste to nothing. Mermaid always the same (it looks synthetic and nothing homemade). A single cut fruit and every day the same. There is only butter. The bread is milk toasted by them. Never a handmade bread. Never a sweet. Never a chocolate option. Repeating that for 7 days was torture. And if you wanted an extra egg turned up for example you had to pay 99 mxn and for that breakfast money better elsewhere. The bathtub says it is better to look at the photos. There is only one electrical device (ruidous) that takes the air. One day the towel is turned off and the towel is turned on to the dirty reception and the column is turned off. Unimaginable the service. The cable TV adjuster in LA has said that it would have taken 7 days to get back to the hotel.

And if you were to return the money.

Emmy friends and I just used the place to rest a bit and to leave our clothes while exploring the city. The shared bathroom might be an issue for those staying longer as you might have to share it with other people. The curtain had an unpleasant smell too. The staff was super friendly and accommodating but the place needs to be clean. The welcome sign by the entrance was a nice touch.

I liked that it has American Breackfast included and you have the option to ask for another kind of breackfast for 100 pesos more.   I did not like that I only learned that I had to share bathroom and toilet with other guests only when I was there.  I would like to have known this before I choose the place

I stayed at the hotel a few days ago and the experience was perfect.The attention of the employees was impeccable, attentive to every order and/or consultation.Additionally, the location is perfect, in the heart of the historic center of Oaxaca, a block from all the tourist attractions.Very recommended for those who want to experience a city with good Mexican roots.

To enjoy Oaxaca from the best location.

The attention, especially the very good breakfasts, the excellent service, would return with my family to an unforgettable stay, everything organized and the very beautiful decoration, the facilities very clean and one hundred percent recommended.
