Great cabins with a lot of room and excellent for family vacations

Great place to relax, be ready to take a hike to get to your cabin, if you bring lots of stuff like food, alcohol or anything, you will need hike to get to the cabin while carrying everything. You can ask for help and provide a tip to the care taker teens which is helpful. That is unless you get a cabin close to the entrance, but the good cabins are on top of the hill. 
Clean cabin, if you ask for decorations its extra and its possible ask for almost anything you want. Wood costs extra which is expected. Has everything to cook, not the best pans but it gets the job done. No ice, you'll need buy it at the store. There is a small store with just about everything at walking distance, just remember the hike to the cabin. 
Areas around cabin are clean and cabins are close to each other but not exactly next to each other. Not wall to wall, but couple meters. Didn’t have problem with any party neighbors, mainly we went to relax and seems like neighbors also. Buy a umbrella if you can in case you go to the store. There is a small rack fence around the camp, so no worries about any type of animals like bears or wolfs coming in, although a friendly dog from the camp did stop by say hi which gave me a scare. Don’t feed the cat or the dog, if you don’t feed them, they won’t come back.

Great place to rest and stay a few nights. Not like a hotel, don’t expect cabin have new dishes, pans, or the grill to be clean. You can ask someone to turn your fire on in chimney, but you would be less of a man. Same as grill fire. You can ask to clean the grill if it’s really dirty.

Good for kids, but need watch them if they are little, could role down the hill, but not to far there are areas cut off by lumber fences. There is still areas for kids available and a play ground.

Lastly Insect free, they make sure spray and clean every month so you don’t need worry about spiders or any insects in the cabin or mosquitoes in the area. Obviously unavoidable, but I could say I had no problems with any of this. Didn’t even us the Mosquito repellent.

Nice cabins in the mountains

The unit in the photo was only available for an extra charge. We stayed in an old unit over the office. Supplies were not good quality and minimum quantity. Frig froze everything. Clean newer bathroom. Large bedroom overlooking main road. Windows needed a good washing. No help was available to get luggage to room. Access to cabins was via a very very steep path. We chose not to stay there as it was too difficult to go up and down the path especially with luggage etc.  and we are in good physical shape.  The grounds were well kept and someone was working out there every day. Maid service every day was good. Staff were all pleasant. Limited hot water some mornings.

Unfortunately the unit we stayed in (Cedar) had a leak in the master bedroom and bathroom that had not been addressed for some time. The entire unit smelled musty and damp, the master bath had a fair amount of mold on the ceiling and the bedroom had a perpetual wet spot on one of the walls. During one very long and steady rain, the leak became so bad that in actually began to rain in the master bedroom and we had to move the bed and other furniture to keep it from getting drenched.

The kitchen also had a rotting smell to it but we could not pinpoint the issue. On our last night they finally had someone get on the roof and lay down plastic to stop the leaks.

We had the opportunity to look into some of the other units and they did not seem to have the issues ours had. That being said, the management never offered us a discount or any other offer for having to stay in a sub-par unit.


Lots of mosquitos, stove/oven not working properly. Stair loose, outside the building with loose handrail and missing first step, pretty dangerous. Hot water from shower sometimes works, sometimes you take a shower with cold water, even weather is cold in the mountain.

Not very comfortable

We were given a unit with a window that opened over the frontdesk area.  We had to climb a steep and shaky metal-wood staircase to our room.  The room was filthy, in disrepair, noisy and freezing with no heat (45-50F)....and we looked at garbage or staff working quarters from our tiny filthy terrace.  We were told this was the only unit available.  We would have gone somewhere else that night despite the fact that we had paid for an entire week.  We moved out as soon as we could find other acvomodations on a holiday week-end in this remote mountain town.

Worst hotel we have ever stayed at!

Dangerous stairs to climb up to room. Very dark and uninviting. Shower head a disaster and several lights did not function.
Unfriendly staff. No WiFi although they tell you they have.
Will never return to this particular place eve4
