Very good care, good service and a good price including continental breakfast, everything very well and close to the center for walking and exploring the surroundings near the al Pípila monument if you like to walk, I recommend it.

Small but cozy.

This was a hard review to write because while I had no issues with the room itself, which was clean for a dorm room, it was the cancellation policy that was the problem. I had put down half of my deposit upon booking as required, mistake #1, and then paid the remaining balance upon arrival, mistake #2. My plans changed after the first night and I checked out the next morning thinking that I would get a refund on the remaining nights that I did not stay. Unfortunately they would not give me a refund after I requested it for the 6 remaining nights that I did not stay. This is the major thing to watch out for: only book and pay for one night at a time! Otherwise, the hostel is only a 12 minute walk into the historic center and it was clean. The free included breakfast was some cereal and coffee. And because it's located on the main road it is noisy like many of the other hostels in town but conveniently located in a safe area. My biggest issue was not getting a refund for the nights that I did not stay so beware if you pay in advance and have plans that change!

Budget accomodation

We stayed from 17 to 19 August With respect to the attention of the staff is very attentive and friendly however the room does not look like the one in the photo, it has moisture on the walls, the curtain of the bathroom full of mold, in the room we had requested a double bed and what are its two individual beds attached, mattresses that feel like the resort and lastiman, The pillows are like thick canvas seats without foundations, besides there were cockroaches in our room. The terrace is neglected and full of cracks. The staircases are very quiet and the kitchen is very old and dirty, the maintenance is long gone.

Much to improve.

My stay was for 3 nights in this hostel, although I was staying in a room with a private bathroom, the bed was a bit uncomfortable as it was 2 double beds attached and no queen or king size mattress besides a bit tough, I didn't have A/C even though it felt cold at night if they provided us with 2 blankets so we had no problem with the cold, only a window that looked out to the interior hall so we couldn't even open the curtain because passers-by could see inwards, so zero privacy; besides the noise of adjacent rooms was heard.

Fair price..

My stay in the first week was the most comfortable, in the first season what I was looking for, a hotel that had that folk and colorful touch, reserved the suite and slept the most pleasantly, the bed is perfect, the terrace is beautiful even though it has no view but it is beautiful, the kitchen really can't need it, use it without any problems, the only thing that's not so cool is that you have to fail the wifi but with reset it and yes, and then you need some extra dressing rooms and towels, outside of there everything is super fine, the personal is super friendly and helpful.

The best place I could have booked!!!

My opinion is based on the experience of staying in a private room with a bathroom, as I could see that there is also the option of community rooms with shared bathroom. The room (I believe it is called San Sebastian) is large, cozy, bed of very good size, comfortable, TV, DVD, portable air conditioning, wardrobe and armchair. It is a spacious, bright and pleasant place for the stay. The bathroom is full, although we might say that it is a little below the level of the bedroom. It is cold, so in cold weather it can be a little uncomfortable. The breakfast is limited and self-service, American type, no more to wait than that. The route is pleasant, there is an OXXO meters and some places to eat, the center is a 10-minute walk away.

A good place to be.

A very good address, very well located, a 7-minute walk from the historic center of Guanajuato.
