Our 7th visit to the Maldives, but our first to the Oblu Select Sangeli, and it was absolutely amazing! We have visited the Lux, The Saii Lagoon, and the Hard Rock Hotel, and the Sangeli beat them all hands down! From the warm welcome, the effortless and amazing service from every single member of staff, the amazing rooms, the brilliant snorkelling and trips, and the endless amounts of food and drinks we could not fault any part of our 7 day stay - we only wish we could have stayed longer, and can't wait to go back! Shout out to Sikdar and Kader for looking after our rooms, but also for becoming our friends - checking in on us, making sure we had what we needed and guiding us to where the best marine life was - they truly made our holiday memorable. Also shout of to Chef Tore, for the best pasta and pizza, and for always making sure we were having a good day, and recommending different food options. Every single member of bar staff was amazing - got to know our drinks, always came and checked on us, made special cocktails for us, and generally made us smile- particularly Viney, Shiru and Kyra. The food was absolutely out of this world, we were eating several choices from every dinner, and definitely piled on the pounds! Every chef made sure you were happy with the food, made french fries and anything you could ask for in addition to the buffet food. We did 2 turtle snorkelling trips, and saw 11 turtles, sharks, rays, and thousands of fish - well worth the money, and amazing to see! It was lovely to meet Jenni, often around the resort and in the restaurants talking to guests - very personable, and generally cared about the guest experience - even asked the chef to make us a steak as a special treat on the last night of our stay. A lovely touch, and absolutely delicious! For us, the thing that stands out at the resort is the genuine staff - every single person is willing to, and wants to help your stay be the best it possibly can. Jenni you have an amazing resort, and thank you so much for making our stay so special........we will be back!
