Travel Lodge Maldives

I stayed here on this month for one night before going to the resort. I was welcomed by a friendly staff with a great smile. 
Accommodation is perfect, room is good enough for a couple with a medium size bathroom with hot water and a hair dryer. 
Hotel is in beautiful quite location and which is few minutes walk to beach. 

Once you are inn you don't to worry about anything. Just give your departure flight details. That's all. The excellent team will take care of the rest. 
Price is reasonable when compared to the service. Service can not be compared with any other hotel in hulhumale. What o paid was very worth.

Hello travelers, I stayed in Travel Lodge many times on my trips to Maldives. Travel Lodge is moved now to new building. Guest house is open just few days. Rooms and building is very nice and clean. Owner si very nice and friendly guy. Always helpful with big smile. Guest house is perfect for transit travelers or for longer stay for people like me who is coming to Maldives for business and do not want to stay in capital city Male. I do not have any bad experience from time I stayed there. Staff was always very friendly and nice. About hotel transfer, I saw review where is written very big nonsense. Transfer to airport does not cost 35 MVR (MRF) rufia. Minimum price is from 8 USD per taxi. To go to the airport are allowed only some hotels cars or special taxi. Hotel owner or taxi company must have special permission to go the the airport and in Hulhumale does have this permission only few hotels and taxi drivers. Ofcourse you can go to or from airport by airpot bus which cost 16 MVR but bus going each 45 minutes and has only one stop in the middle of Hulhumale, so does mean you have to look for hotel after. Better and more comfortable is to take taxi. Taxi must be order before your arrival or departure, always. About taxi in Male and Hulhumale. Again wrong amount was written here in one review. Price of taxi is given by government and it is 25 MVR per car. If you travel with luggage, they will counting plus 5 MVR per each luggage. Do not pay more than you must if you will travel in Hulhumale or Male. Except special airport taxi which cost from 8 USD (150 MVR) per car. Photos below are just from mobile phone. Very nice place for transit (1 up to 3 nights) or longer stay for a business trip

I booked to stay just one night - between my flight's arrival in the evening, and the transfer to an island resort next morning.
I would say this place is suitable for just that - no more.
The room was clean, but don't expect any other amenities. You have to buy/bring your own water. Only rooms at the ground floor gets WiFi, and that is very slow at best. Breakfast was basically a couple of toasts and a boiled egg. We had to buy the coffee.

Suitable for interim stays

We stayed in the hotel the night we arrived at Male and the one on our way back to home. 
The night we arrived, the room was on the 1st floor. Nice and tidy with very basic amenities such as bottled water, towels, tissues and the likes. The room had a balcony also. But on the night of returning home, the room we were allotted was on the ground floor and with no balcony obviously (may be for safety issues). 
We were told that the hotel's been transferred to a new building very recently so the roof top restaurant was yet to open. WiFi isn't available in the rooms yet, but at the lobby it worked fine for me. Oh another point, the rooms have TVs but no connections yet. 
The staffs were friendly and are ready to help anytime you come up with any issue be it booking a taxi or organizing a city tour or merely providing with bottled water, tissues etc. 
To sum up, we were OK with the rooms and services. For a SHORT STAY would recommend the hotel.

Very suitable for a short stay

we stayed at this hotel as recommended by another hotel staff. Unfortunately  It's in the middle of incomplete housing area,  my room facing vacant , unkept housing lot, rubbish dumping ground. But the room is clean and new. The hotel surrounding is unpleasant , beach out of sight.  The rate is more than hotel with sea view.
