The location of Taj Exotica Resort And Spa is very close to Male (Velana) International Airport (MLE) and took us only 20 minutes to get to the resort by boat. We arrived at the resort around 7 am, and they let us right away check in with minor charge that was very cheap compared to the daily rent. Also, they accepted to offer us breakfast in exchange to our last day early check out. The atmosphere was really nice. We were there during October for 4 nights as it rained from time to time but also was sunny enough for us to enjoy swimming and some water activities (while all weather forecasts were showing cloudy, raining, thunder with no sun at all during the whole stay). We got good tan LoL. So, never trust the weather channels as Maldives weather is hard to predict. I reserved the Presidential Suite, 2 Bedrooms (Rehendi) and it was super clean and spacious with large private swimming pool and ocean side with 100 percent privacy. The water was super super clean and crystal clean around the villas. The whole resort with all the beaches surrounding it were also so clean. Value was great compared to other resorts. There are two restaurants serving food of nearly all types you can ask for. Though they don't serve buffet breakfast (maybe because its not peak season) but they offer multiple dishes for each person that is way good enough for variety and large meal. The area and villa were 100 percent quite. What made our stay even more amazing was Mr. Adam and Mr. Shaheen who took excellent care for all activities there and housekeeping. They were available at all times with supersonic response. Really appreciate their great service, and we really could find no better service than that. Jitty staff, boat staff, Reception staff, diving center staff were all super friendly. They offer you goggles, snorkeling, swim fins, for free. They also offer all types of water and diving activities that you can imagine. Don't forget to bring with you your own reef shoes with hard bottom so you can step on corals/stones while swimming away from beach line or around the villas. Finally, I can say that Taj Exotica Resort is fully recommended for couples, families, solo and group travelers.
