Oblu Xperience Ailafushi Hotel

Well, what more can we say but WOW what a beautiful resort ❤️ From the speedboat trip to the island it was mesmerising the water was stunning the colours of Oblu were finally real. All the staff were super welcoming and helpful on arrival and always on hand to help if needed, they all work very hard. Special mentions to Nawtee and Falik, Sari on Oblu and K Abbas at Male airport, which was outstanding from arrival straight through security checks and the extra special kindness and customer service. Amazing, thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💕 The food was excellent with so many cuisines available it was hard to choose each day/evening. Iced coffee in the mornings was my personal favourite, and the muesli was superb plus a mixture of seeds and honey to add if tequired. A must visit is the fabulous underwater restaurant Only Blu (chargeable) this was a beautiful experience and the food was exquisite, all the staff were wonderful and they sang happy birthday to me and gave me a little cake too so sweet of them. The sharks and all the picturesque views surrounding the whole restaurant, we would highly recommend. X360 bar was really good fun and the lovely barman ( not sure of name) always knew our drinks and made up lovely cocktails to try Apologies we missed you to say a proper thank before we left. The live band were all fabulous singers, and the saxophonist was superb. I loved it. ( not sure if their name either ) Only had a proper dance on our last night as some lovely ladies from Malaysia saw me dancing at my table and asked me to come up with them on dance floor thank you ❤️ Lovely Irish couple took photos of us on the beach ⛱️ thank you enjoy your last week. Met Silke and daughter Melina from Vienna lovely lovely people. Oblu was our first visit to our dream destination of Maldives and would say if you get the chance GO ! Just do it ! Some constructive criticism :) Update the playlist a tiny bit make it more current day with 70s/80/90/naughties and upwards. Maybe a second bar as it would enhance the Xperience. Place the film night elsewhere as the music 🎶 was playing which was great then turned off which was disappointing if you didn't want to watch the film. Little tip..... maybe add crisps/nuts as snacks in bars and ice cream in freezers during the day we loved the popcorn, but more options would be good. Bar service would be lovely at night as the interaction with staff would be friendlier and more personal we felt it was a little detached at times. To be honest you never got the chance to chat to the staff as they were all so busy it would have been really good to have know more names and rewarded them at the end of our stay ( We always look after the staff and appreciate the kindness and care we recieve wherever we go) Overall this stunning resort was one of the best holidays we have had it just needs a couple of tweaks here and there.
