14 reviewsPROS The staff were super attentive to our needs and you only had to make a request once and they would follow through. Special mention goes to Ahmed for being so super! He had our broken shower faucet replaced within 30 minutes of our informing him plus he actually saved us money by taking us souvenir shopping to his friend's shop. Let me explain: after me and the wife checked out all the shops and at one shop even chose all our items and haggled for the price; Ahmed came to our rescue and told us the items we had chosen were available at a much cheaper price at his friend's shop. We managed to get much more then we wanted at the shop and his friend (Rashid if I remember correctly) was a delight explaining the difference between authentic souvenirs and cheap plastic replicas. The food at Sunshine Lodge was definitely one of the better ones I had at the island even though it was pricier. Masuni Roshi gets all my love for being just an amazing Maldivian breakfast that I sorely miss each day. CONS The location is not as close to the beach as we would have liked but its not that far considering Guraidhoo is a small island anyway. The excursions were expensive compared to Maafushi but for those that prefer private excursions this is a plus point.
