Vilnius Studio Apartments

Stayed here for ten days. Ideal location to explore Vilnius as it's located about 12 minutes from the main square of the old town in a secure courtyard. A short bus ride €1 will take you to the train station where you can travel on to Kaunas or further afield. BTW, a train to Kaunas return first class is just under €11.00 in total. The studio is spacious and there is everything you need, a washing machine, iron and small fitted kitchen. The bed was very large and comfortable and it really was very homely with nice touches The owner is clearly interested in art and architecture as there was an extensive selection of books on same on display. Outside the apartment was a small swing seat however due to the location of the studio at ground level makes articial light a necessity. Everything was immaculately clean, bedlinen and towels. The keyholder was very accommodating and stayed on past midnight to let us in, an issue caused be a delay in takeoff and long queues in passport control. My only concern was the hall door. It was very difficult to open from both sides requiring a double key turn whilst pushing/pulling the door which is heavy. I think it needs to replaced as there is no way you'd get the door open in an emergency for example, a fire. I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation and hopefully the owner will sort the door issue.
