The villa has four rooms and all have balconies facing the river that slowly passes by. Breakfast is served by the riverside and what breakfast..... Eggs to your choice, fresh orangejuice, fruits, real Lao coffee and baguettes with a perfect crust:) The villa is situated outside the town of luang prebang, but we borrowed bicycles and got there in 15-20 minutes. The terrain is flat and the traffic is polite, so have no worries. The villa has an airconditioned car that will take you to town once a day for free. If more guests are returning in the evening, they will pick you up at 9-9:30 pm at the end of the nightmarket. Also for free. If you return in the afternoon and crave a beer, it's only 10.000 kip at the villa (up to 30.000 in town). The villa is run by three really nice sisters whom all speak English well. They are now adding a swimmingpool, spa and a few more rooms to the villa. We will definitely go back next time:)

Hotel is in a rural area on banks of Mekong about 1.5 km outside town.
Four nicely appointed rooms all overlooking Mekong.
We had a corner room which was larger.
The breakfast was outside on terrace and simple consisting of eggs, pancakes and baguettes with jams. Delicious local coffee or tea and everything fresh and beautifully served
The owners were very friendly and lovely people as were all the staff.
A minivan service provided to take and pick up from the Luang Prabang so no problems being slightly outside town.Also bicycles provided free if you wished to cycle to town.
We enjoyed every minute of our tay and will go back again.

We stayed 10 nights in January.  Located 1.5 km north of the end of the peninsula and beyond the weaving and paper-making village.  By bike or car, 5km. On arrival we were greeted at the airport and taken directly to the hotel, a 4 bedroom home directly on the Mekong.  Breakfast was fresh, simple and served at the time we chose the night before on the deck over the Mekong.   Try for a corner suite as it is spacious and has a nice corner deck.  The room and hotel was clean and decorated with art from local artisans - weaving art, pottery, and photos taken by the Lao owner, Mimi. The hotel will provide rides to and from town.  However, my husband and I are avid cyclists.  The hotel arranged mtn. bikes for us and we used these as our sole transport.  This was a pleasure since we rolled through the small local market and weaving village each day.  I would return to Villa Saynam.

We stayed 3 nights at Villa Saynam and enjoyed it very much.
The hotel has only 4rooms and that makes it very intimate. The breakfast is served outside on the terras is very good.
It is not close to the center, but the service at the hotel,is great. They bring you to the the city center or restaurant and pick you up. The staff is very helpfull.
The villa is located on the Mekong and has great views from eveywhere in the hotel.

Great view

First of all, the location on booking is at the moment (February 2016) not correct. Villa Saynam is further out. 

The Villa has only 4 rooms (whole Villa can be booked at a very reasonable price) and is very specious. Interior (especially bathroom) could use a make-over. Each room has a small balcony with 2 chairs and a table, facing the Mekong. Since it can get cold, they have heating blankets under the sheets which is really great on a cold day.

Breakfast: Needs to be ordered the previous day. Ask them to make the eggs fresh. Overall nice but we could have done with a little more variety and quantity. 

Villa Saynam offers to bring you to LP and pick you up at a certain time - great for sightseeing and dinner. If you want to be more flexible you will need a car or motorbike. The have bikes but considering the road condition and distance I would rather take the transfer. Walking is possible but you might need a while to get to LP.

There is no restaurant in the hotel and there is not much around it either. Consider to dine in the city.
