This is a lovely place, full of character with a nice dark wood finish, lots of books, a pleasant garden for sitting in and clean throughout.

The very friendly owner who seems to switch between different languages effortless, was extremely helpful. She made arrangements for us to get to Kuang Si falls and the airport, all very efficiently and with clear prices. She even got up early on our final morning to ensure everything went to plan with the latter and provided a superb breakfast box. 

The hotel occupies a good position, right next to the morning market and close to the night market, various street food stalls and other key attractions.  We were warned there may be early morning noise from the market but despite being in a room close to this, it didn't effect us.

Our room was medium-sized and - again - full of character with some nice finishing touches. The shower was reasonable but only properly hot on lower flow levels. There was no safe (but I think some other rooms may have them).

The only birds I saw in the garden were Sooty-headed Bulbul and Tree Sparrow.

Breakfast was a wonderful spread of delicious fruit yogurt, an interesting sago dish with vegetables, fresh baguettes, freshly cooked eggs and filter coffee; all served on a sunny terrace. Nearby, cold drinking water is available to help yourself throughout the day.

A big thumbs up!

We recommend this nice little hotel very well placed. Good and pleasant breakfast, taken outdoors on the terrace. The reception is excellent, the owner is very attentive, attentive to everyone, she gives a lot of advice for visits. She is immediately ready to provide service, we had a problem with a bank card swallowed and she took care of phone calls and this was resolved very quickly.

Nice hotel in a garden and ideal location

We stayed 2 times 3 nights in this hotel with our 3 children (17,14,9 years old). It is perfect, quiet and located in the center near the morning and evening market. impeccable cleanliness, excellent and cozy breakfast. The manager (French) is very nice, available and very arranging. She takes care of everything that can simplify the holidays (laundry, organizing excursions, searching for taxis, tuk tuk or boat, searching for a doctor if necessary etc...). If we return to luang prabang, no doubt, we will return to this hotel. (prefer the upstairs room with balcony, much more pleasant than all the others).

to have a pleasant stay

All the positive things I've read here, I can only emphasize! The location anyway, but they also have a dozen hotels in the neighborhood. What's special about this hotel is the style that includes everything: like a private house in a large garden, all lovingly and tastefully designed. This is also the wonderful breakfast as well as the furnishings of the rooms. We had two different ones, once in the ground floor with a porch, once in the upper floor with balcony. Both are beautiful, the upper floor more beautiful. And: you feel like a guest in the true sense of the word, not a paying customer. In short, this hotel is a jewel, as you can only wish it! Everything has been said in praiseworthy comments of great truthfulness: availability, hospitality, kindness, service, cleanliness, location, etc... If you need anything, ask Valérie who is the least concerned about her hosts! An address to be highly recommended.

A two-star rating that's worth three!

A charming country-style hotel with a French flair. In the middle of a bustling market, you feel like you're on a quiet island. Nice chef and a nice breakfast. Other services like laundry and airport transfer are also welcome.

Charming Hotel in the bustling Old Town

We stayed 2 nights in this lovely hotel and fell in love with the place and its owner. Very professional accommodation, valuable tourist advice, always smiling owner and exemplary availability. Perfectly equipped and ultra-clean rooms, excellent and spacious breakfast. All in the heart of a beautifully maintained historic garden. A safe value without any surprise!

That's a safe bet.

The hotel is ideally located near the city centre and Mekong River, close to the morning food market (in front of the hotel) and the famous night market. Valérie is very attentive and present at the service of her guests. Her advice on places to visit and eat in Luang Prabang was very valuable to us. Our room was very quiet and impeccable, facing the beautiful garden.

Ideal location and excellent reception

Perfect. In the middle of everything, but not too noisy. The morning market is directly outside the front of the property, and the night market is about one block away. Amazing breakfasts to give you plenty of energy for the day. Great service, great location, great everything.

Fabulous eveything

A dream place because in the heart of Luang Prabang. From there everything can be done on foot. Its garden and the tranquility that reigns there are appreciated after visits, at the end of the day. We were able to test the two types of rooms: small or large, each to its own charm. Do not hesitate! We appreciated the welcome and constant attention of Valerie who took care of our well-being.
