Wadi Rum Protected Area Camp

What can I say about my trip to Wadi Rum, a truly bucket list experience! The vastness of the landscape is out of this world. As for the accommodation options, there is a lot of choice and each year continues to see more and more accommodations be setup. However, only a select few will provide you with an intimate, personal and authentic experience. Green Desert was amazing value for money, situated in a fantastic part of the desert (away from other camps). The rooms are really spacious and for me as a solo traveller a little bit of luxury with three beds! I doubt I will ever have a better view from my room. The camp feels like a big family with everyone meeting in the communal areas for homemade food and tea. I cannot recommend my guide Nadjah highly enough! The most hospitable person I met in all my travels in Jordan!. After spending two full days in the desert with him, he felt like my brother. He went above and beyond to ensure I enjoyed my time as much as possible and he clearly loves meeting and welcoming tourists to his camp. Maybe one day I will return.
