Our research center's meeting was held in Ajloun forest reserve. We could not ask for a better venue! The reserve definitely answers the definition of glamping: the cabins are comfy and clean with a scenic view. The food is locally made and tasty, with plenty of vegan/vegetarian options. The staff was kind and helped us organize different activities in the area. The conference space is beautiful and convenient with great wifi and all the necessary equipment for big events. Highly recommended!

Conference and stay at Ajloun

Just amazing and the new orchid villas with the pistachio cabins are nicely integrated into the nature. The view, the silence and the voice of the forest are coming through as a dream. The staff is super friendly and the cleanliness level is superb. Othman and his Team are doing an excellent hospitality in the Reserve. Very important to me, Nature comes first!!

Amazing Experience at Ajloun Forest Reserve

We were there for internal training and team building activities 
Extraordinary experience and lovely helpful staff.. Enjoyed the hiking and the weather.. Mr Muhammad Qudah and chef laith smadi are the best ever 

Amazing service and place 

We stayed here because we had just visited Jerash and had one more night before returning to Amman and wanted to stay somewhere different, we saw the forest reserve recommended and looked into it. It is a brilliant eco tourism set up, with lots of co-operatives run by local women and supporting local groups. The cabins are great, we stayed in the cheapest, a bedroom and a bathroom, and it was fine, we didn’t need more but maybe a family might want more space and one of the more expensive ones. The welcome from the rangers was brilliant, very helpful. A decent buffet for dinner and simple breakfast. Lots of trails to explore (although most need a guide) - we did the simple non guided one that takes about 20-30 mins, as we were short on time, but would love to return and explore further. 

Lovely alternative place to stay and explore

One of the most fantastic trip in my life.
I was thinking why I did not visit this place before . My first impression was highly great . The service. type of visitors who share same interest make you feel like home. 
Thank you so much for taking care of our green area of Jordan.

Eco tourism 

A great place for a few day hikes. Arrived at 10am, did two short hikes. Reserved a BBQ lunch for the group, we were 17. The food was good, nothing out of the ordinary, but decent.
Would definitely repeat it, a great time to visit, the weather was superb.
visited the rangers building, kids saw how soap is made, in addition to the yummy biscuits..

Weekend freshness

The view was amazing, the cottages were clean and big enough for a family of 4. The breakfast was okay, not fancy at all.The staff were so helpful and answered all our queries. The zipline experience was beautiful, children and adults can do it. 
There are things to work on for sure, starting from the buffet, and adding more solutions for mosquitos as there were too many. 

Beautiful experience 

It was really a nice experience in the middle of nature. The lodge was clean and warm as there was AC.
The staff was nice and the bbq area was a nice addition as you can make your own bbq, but at this time of the year it's cold so you need to bring warm clothes.
My comment is that it will be a bit boring after dinner time. They need to do some activities at night as there's no TV inside the lodge to spend time on.
Another comment is that there should be a hairdryer inside the lodges as it would be a good addition.

Nice Experience

We took the Roe Deer trail. It's really well marked and goes through nice woodland with small cleanings and a viewing platform. It takes 1½ hours when walking slowly to look for wildlife. We didn't see too many birds (Great Tits, Jays and Wrens mostly) although we did see interesting insects and plants and it was generally a nice trail. Both the forest visitor centre and the main centre with the restaurant are nice with good facilities. The restaurant served good food and we ate out on the platform overlooking the forest below which was stunning but a bit cold in March.

We were booked into a deluxe cabin - not quite how I'd describe it, but a family sized cabin and comfortable for two. We had  a large bathroom, hallway with a fridge and kettle and tea making facilities, a large living space (actually spare beds for kids) and a balcony with a table and chairs. There's no TV and the whole place is very quiet, even though there were several other guests when we were there. 

The highlight for us was the food - I think the best we had in Jordan! We were the only 2 at dinner when we went, probably too early for everyone else. We were served a large number of dishes, all very fresh and tasty. We assumed that was all (as we couldn't finish it)  so walked out to be chased to be told we dessert as well - delicious baklava.   Breakfast was a buffet, and busier, but again extremely good home cooked food with smiling staff serving. 

One issue we had is there were limited English speakers in the lodge, but we had no difficulties.

We went for a hike across the reserve the next day and to a local village (apologies but we have forgotten the guide's name) we'd never have found that route by ourselves. We stopped for him to brew us tea on a hilltop viewpoint and a taxi picked us up to take us back to the reserve. Very enjoyable.
