The breakfast was very good.  The room was relatively large and had a nice bench seating area.  We were able to walk from the train station and to the bus station for Shirakawa. The hotel seemed to have plenty of parking, though we did not use it.  They had loaner umbrellas by the front door.

Great 3 night stay. Amazing staff and beautiful Japanese breakfast. The hot spring bath was a nice bonus. Highly recommend and would stay again.

What we liked:The check-in process went smoothly where an employee (by the way, she spoke English very well) guided us through the steps on their check-in machine. Very nicely decorated room with the dark blue accents and grey wallpaper. Very large comfortable bed with comfortable pillows. The hotel is located right next to Takayama Station. We had a view of the mountains and some religious building called Sukyo Mahikari. Quiet location.We really appreciated all the recommendations the hotel had in the lobby for local food and sightseeing. So thoughtful and well presented. The self-serve locker storage is free, very convenient and easy to use. There are lockers for smaller luggage and there are cable locks for larger luggage. We liked the 2-piece pajamas the hotel provided us.What we think can be improved: The bathroom is nice and spacious but it smelled slightly of humidity, probably because of the bathtub, because for some reason, these Japanese hotels don’t put caulking around the bathtub and the water seeps into the crack around the wall. We put the Do not Disturb sign and they still gave us new towels, even though we’re only staying 2 nights. So we went to return the new towels bag at the lobby reception.

We were upgraded on arrival. The largest bed I’ve ever seen! Plenty of space in the room and very reasonable rate.

Really close to train and bus and bus stations, great restaurants. Very clean hotel

big room with 3 single beds and sofa area in it , also separate dinning room .. very comfortable stay for 3 adults .. good location too.. highly recommended

Staff was wonderful, check in was a breeze. Room was classy and clean, hot spring also very nice. My room plan did not include breakfast.  Location also good. Few min walk to train station and lots of food options. Only problem we had was with the parking. The parking lot didn’t allow us to enter initially when there are still available spaces inside. After the staff came out and assisted, we could go in and park. I was informed to bring the ticket to front desk for waiving of parking charges for hotel guests. However when I check out and exit the car park, parking fee of 3000 yen was demanded for two nights.  I think the communication could be improved regarding the parking charges, such that guests will have the correct expectation.

Feels like a new hotel with nice amenities. Good location, right beside the bus terminal. Amazing service and comfy vibes from the moment we stepped in!

Kumon san at the hotel reception was very helpful since it’s our first time staying at the hotel and didn’t know where to go for dinner. She recommended very good nearby restaurants.A minor feedback about the breakfast. We had the same japanese breakfast for three consecutive days . I would they might want to change the menu a little . Also there was no salmon fish in the bento box on the third day of our stay ( checking out anyway)

Beautiful property with useful amenities and a lovely onset. Really enjoyed our time here - highly recommend to anyone visiting Takayama Gifu

A modern hotel with nice rooms and comfortable beds . The staff is very friendly and professional . The breakfast served in a Bento Box was a nice touch and was very good with lots of items . Each day was a different breakfast . Coffee was very good as well. Nice gift store within the lobby , with local products . Close to the morning markets , temples , and Kamisannomachi street ( Takayama old town ) with houses and restaurants and shops including several Sake Breweries dating to the 1600-1868 during the Edo period . We wish we could have had another day in Takayama .

Seriously amazing! The room is stylish and spacious. It was so comfortable and a nice change of pace from all the tiny hotel rooms we’d been squeezing into during our trip. The bed was amazingly comfortable. It was also very clean which i was grateful for!The breakfast is pretty nice too. A little fancy for me lol but it was tasty. Definitely recommend you stay here! :)

The location was great, and the hotel was very comfortable to stay. Walkable to many shops and restaurants. We needed to leave early in the morning, so we canceled our breakfast the day before. They did not have any problem to give us refund back for the meal. We loved that flexibility and appreciated.

The staff is second to none ( ie: they are incredibly warm and courteous. I honestly felt like I was visiting with family, but in a good way.).So why not a perfect score ? I honestly didnt appreciate the somewhat harsh reception of the bartender. He needs to brush up on tone ( when speaking ) and possibly explore his attirudes on xenophobia. Hia entire demeanor really ruined a food expefience for us. While clearly young, he really lacked guile and personality overall. Nonetheless, the property boasts a decdnt location ( close to station and decent ' one shot' walk to to the morning marker ). I appreciated the free lockers for guests, the washing machines and once again, the front desk staff is INCREDIBLE. Lastly, as a Westerner, the bed was hard as a rock. I know this is common here, but it was uncomfortable nonetheless.

The hotel is good and up to date. The bed was good. Staff are very friendly and try very hard but had limited English which made some dealings a bit frustrating. The restaurant/bar was another story - the food was not good, (we only gave it one chance) and everyone has to pay a 500 yen cover charge even to have a drink at another time which wasn’t communicated to us prior. The maître de was unfriendly.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and very convenient as we could walk less than five minutes from the train station.  The staff were exceptional and very helpful.  The hotel is beautiful inside and the huge bonus is that they also have a onsen which was welcoming at the end of each day.  Breakfast was delicious and you could rent a motorized assisted bicycle for ¥500 for an hour or ¥1000 for three hours… it was amazing to do this and explore the city on the bikes.  A big thank you to all the staff.

A very nice decently sized room compared to other hotels in Japan. The rooms were clean, amenities were adequate and location is perfect.The price though is on the higher side but considering the size of the room, I would say its still very acceptable.Walking distance to Takayama station, the Nohi bus center, and even to the Takayama old street or shopping district. You can also rent a bike from them.
