The owner, Kobayashi, picked us from the train station, even though we missed the earlier train to Yudanaka station. He even offered to drive us to the Monkey Park the next morning. His wife is ever so friendly. This ryokan served very delicious Kaiseki dinner. Couple can have the onsen for private use during the non-peak hours. However, to avoid any embarrassing moment, proper signage should be available to warn other guest when the onsen is being used by couple. The owner also offered to drive us to the train station at the end of our stay. Highly recommended.
