Al Chiaro Di Luna

What a stunning place this is. Totally off the usual tourist trails, and recommended to me by a friend. When you close your eyes and think of small rural Italy, this little village really is it. The calm and tranquility washes over you here. You don't actual need to do anything. The hosts are fantastic, real characters and added to the experience. Their home is a beautifully appointed place and in parts feels like it belongs in the Ideal Home magazine. With the sun shining, the balcony doors open, and strolling around the period features, I felt very much at home. They also have a small, yet perfectly form house next door. This separate building is on three levels and whilst the exterior blends in to the surrounding area seamlessly, the interior is very modern. But in a typical Italian way, there is nothing pretentious about it. This is a nice place to stop for a few days and take time out from the typical, busier and more full on Italian sites elsewhere. Very enjoyable and very reasonably priced for some relaxed Italian sun and character.
