Second stay at this very nice hotel, situated in a quieter area of Venice. First stop on the vaporetto from Marco Polo airport then a short walk. Hotel very clean, pleasant staff but the shining star was Parvaiz, (staff member at breakfast and also in the bar) what a lovely person, very friendly, had some nice conversations with him each morning. Parvaiz is an employee the hotel should be proud to have, he was always very attentive and would definitely go above and beyond for you. We did take the free boat from the hotel to the Murano glass factory but didn’t feel pressured to purchase anything, we then went on to Burano (which is absolutely beautiful). Only negative for us was the return to the airport. We booked via the hotel a private water taxi back however we only found out 15 minutes before we left that the water taxi would only take us to Tronchetto and then onwards via car taxi. The reception staff never informed us of this when we booked it as we wouldn’t have bothered! Spoils the whole ambience and not worth the cost! Apparently is was due to the film festival therefore perhaps they should ensure they inform guests of this.

Additional information

In accordance with the Institutional Regulations and the rules governing the fee for access, with or without a shuttle service, in Venice and the small islands of the Venetian Lagoon, an additional fee is charged to day-trippers who do not stay overnight and plan to visit the historic city centre from Friday to Sunday or on public holidays, from 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM.
