Hotel Canal Grande

First, we were grateful that are room was ready before the check in time and access was granted to us early. That was an extreme plus on the customer service as it helped so we could quickly unpack and explore Venice early. We opted to book the Canaletto Suite. The room was very spacious and had a privacy door between the master bedroom and the living room/spare room which was used for our son to occupy the couch bed. A good bottle of champagne was in the room to welcome us to spark up the romantic ambiance. I really loved opening the window shutters and small balcony shutters to take in the breathtaking views of the Grand Canal and just hear the splashing sound of the canal and church bells in the morning and evenings while lying on the bed. It was the first time I had a room that allowed us to open the window shutters and enjoy a view. Speaking of views, on the train side of the Canal, you can catch the red sky sun setting through the nearby walking wider sidewalks of Venice. Breakfast was good and you can take your latte to go if you are pressed for time to catch a tour. Staff recommended some good restaurants. The train stations and bus station for the airport shuttle are within five to ten minutes away. Overall, great stay and I recommend that you enjoy Venice at least one time this way to make a loveable memorable experience.
