La Casa di Lucia

Just returned from Tuscany and stayed at La Casa di Lucia. It was perfectly quaint, perfectly located for tooling around hill towns, perfectly sized and of course Lucia was perfectly wonderful. When we arrived Lucia and her family greeted us. They were very warm and generous. We were provided with a fabulous tart, wine, pici (pasta), juice, olivie oil from Lucia's farm and other goodies. There is a very new updated Italian modern kitchen. Although it is small, it lacks for nothing. There is a five burner stove, dishwasher, toaster oven and even a washer/dryer. The three bedrooms were very roomy. My room as well as the room on the main floor had a view of the hill town Montisi. Loved the location. We were looking for a small hamlet in the center of the towns we wanted to visit. It is 10 minutes from Pienza, 20 from Montacino and Montepulciano. If you are looking for a hill town that is charming, small and in a great location then this may be for you. If you want a bigger town with many restaurants, bars, ammenities without driving then this may not suit. For us it was absolutely perfect. Thank you Lucia!!
