Leone Guesthouse

Our overall experience with Leone B&B was wonderful. Everything from making our reservations via email to our 3 night stay was easy and enjoyable. Plus the price was right! The room rate here was extremely reasonable for Rome. I found this B&B on Trip Adviser. Nancy, the owner of the B&B, was fantastic. She has genuine concern for her guests and it was a pleasure to get to know her. An added plus is that she can speak English. This is a great place to stay if you want to be near the Vatican-only a 10 minute walk. And there is a Metro stop just around the corner which takes you all around Rome and it's numerous sights. The subway system in Rome is not complicated and is very easy to figure out. Leone B&B consists of 3 bedrooms with a main living room/kitchen area in the middle. The accomodations were very clean. The kitchen had a refrigerator that contained milk for our morning coffee along with some wrapped rolls and cereal for breakfast. It was self-serve. Don't forget to stop at The Old Bridge gelateria for some ice cream on the way to the Vatican. Great gelato at a good price=long lines at times but worth it. If you are looking for a no-frills, great rate, clean place to stay near the Vatican with a friendly inkeeper then this is the B&B for you. I'll definitely return to Leone B&B on my next visit to Rome!
