54 reviewsTo stay at Podere Tegline is to experience Tuscan farm life in a very authentic way. The historic farmhouse is a museum filled with treasures that evoke many stories. After the hustle of Florence it was delightful to slow down and enjoy the countryside. We received a warm welcome, a bottle of olive oil and a beautiful cake from Simonetta and were delighted to be able to purchase honey, wine and olive oil - all produced on the farm. We came to appreciate the daily rituals like Lore (the horse) waiting for Giovanni to feed her and then heading off through the vineyard to the woods. Giovanni spent an evening introducing us to Chianti Classico Wine and EV Olive Oil and Simonetta spent an afternoon teaching us to make pasta and sharing recipes - including her spectacular Tiramisu that we all sat down and enjoyed together. Our rooms were comfortable and we had everything we needed to prepare meals so we could easily have stayed on the farm, but we also wanted to visit Tuscany. Simonetta provided helpful advice about things to see and do, and made great suggestions for meals in nearby villages and towns. We had an unforgettable experience at Podere Tegline and can't wait to visit, again.
