My husband & I have just returned from a 2 week touring holiday in Sardinia of which we spent 5 nights in ll Platno. We had reserved 2 nights ahead as we had a flight into Olbia & thought San Teodoro be somewhere not too far from airport. We had a hire car & it took us around 30mins to arrive at San Teodoro. We got a warm welcome from the young lady on reception who took us to room 12. It's a lovely double room overlooking the car park at the rear with a small balcony but big enough for us to squeeze ourselves onto & relax in the evening. Everything in the room looked new & very clean. Breakfast was plentiful, cereal, juice,bacon,sausage,egg ,tea/ coffee & every kind of cake. We enjoyed the 15min stroll into San teodoro & loved the town with every kind of restaurant, bar & market in the evening. The pool at ll Platno wasn't busy during our stay despite lots of guests & we relaxed there in the afternoons on the comfortable sunbeds. Reluctantly we had to check out after 2 nights as we had pre booked accommodation in Alghero & wanted to visit Cagliari on our trip but I think San Teodoro & ll Platno won us over so after a few nights we returned to ll Platno for our final 3 nights. I think that says it all. This time we were in room 10 on the ground floor with a terrace which basked in sun all evening to my husband's delight. We ate in the restaurant a few times which has a great choice of menu, very reasonable priced & lovely food!!! The staff are all so pleasant & helpful they made our few days so much more enjoyable & I'd have to give them 10/10. We hope to return to San Teodoro in the future & ll Platno will be our 1st port of call!!!
