We have visited the Rosengarten-Latemar area many times in both winter and summer, but this was our first stay in Hotel Mondschein. We had a very spacious, modern room with a view over the opposite mountain. The breakfast and dinner were of very high quality. We had some amazing meals and were every day looking forward to our evening dinner (the beef tagliata was delicious!). Erika who runs the hotel has a very extensive knowledge of the area, speaks very good English and helped us every day with finding amazing walks. The location of the hotel is perfect (bus stop in front of the hotel so no need to use the car) and offers access to many beautiful hiking areas: the Karersee and Maria Weissenstein were our favourite places, but the walking possibilities in both winter and summer are endless. We will definitely visit Hotel Mondschein again as it offers excellent cuisine, great service and a very friendly atmosphere!
