311 reviewsThe Monte Sella hotel, built over 100 years ago, maintains its charm and character while simultaneously creating modern amenities. One can see the love and care that the owners have invested in every corner. Everything is spotless. Fresh flowers from the garden are everywhere; the food is excellent on the level of a high-end restaurant. They provide a free afternoon buffet of fruit and cakes. The hotel has been in the family for several generations, and they take pride in maintaining the beautiful Art Nouveau touches while at the same time adding a modern section complete with pool, spa, saunas, and other amenities. There are places to rest, a sun deck, and a beautiful garden. At night, with the window open to let in the cool air, we could hear the soothing trickle of the river that runs across from the hotel. From the window, a breathtaking vista of alpine mountains. I hope to return to this bit of paradise soon.
