Our stay at Hotel Machiavelli Palace was truly fantastic. The location can't be beaten—it’s just a quick 5-minute walk from the main train station and only 7 minutes to the magnificent Duomo. We loved being able to walk everywhere and found a number of great restaurants right around the corner. Also there is a macdonalds just around the corner and an Indian restaurant too. Our room was lovely—very spacious and spotless. The breakfast each morning was a highlight, with a wide selection that got our day started perfectly. The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to be helpful. While the welcome at check-in wasn't as warm as we'd hoped, every other interaction with the staff was excellent. This hotel is a gem in the heart of Florence and I would happily stay here again.
