The hotel is located a short walk from the bus terminal in Corvara so there was no need to get a taxi from the terminal. The person who greeted us the owner and we found him extraordinarily friendly and informative. The check-in time was very short and we were given a choice of two rooms, which was fortunate because otherwise the hotel was full for the entire time we were there. The hotel was recently renovated so everything was practically brand-new. Because one of the gondolas passes close by, we were able to sit on our patio and watch the colorful gondolas going up and down the hill while we drank wine and enjoyed the quiet. The hotel had a garage space in which people could leave their bicycles, their dirty boots and other hiking gear,. In addition there was a well-stocked refrigerator in the garage and a wide assortment of nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages from beer to wine to champagne to liquors. It was on the honor system and the price of the beverages were not much more than what you would pay in the local grocery store which was nice. Breakfasts were extraordinary. There was a wide assortment of fruits and vegetables and breads and pastries and a never-ending supply of tea and excellent coffee produced fresh from a high-end coffee machine. The owners made a point of coming around talk including asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay more pleasant. They were an excellent source of recommendations for trails to hike and how to get to them using the all-lifts pass available in the Valley and sources of maps and other information. The owner grew up in this house and knows everything about the Valley. Within five minutes walk of the hotel you could access all the lifts you would need for a weeks worth of hiking. I would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here were I to return toCorvara.
